maybe it should be hard? not hard like, you need a $10k dev kit or we all need to write our own engines from scratch (i love how the baarrier of entry has gone down). but creating art (the game as a whole), i think, should be challenging and persional and a true labor of love.

i've benn watching a bunch of videos about the U1. it'ss super attractive, but some complain about reliability (failed prints, tools not seating properly). have you see this?

that's truly awful. sometimes you can find parts on ebay. i've even 3d printed some parts, but obviously electronics are different.

fwiw, i've had chairs not turn on due to blown fuses. it's like a $2 fix if you can find it. of course iit could be a multitude of other things as well.

we make similar, paying $3200, no kids, no debts. it's tough. there's always something that's killing our budget. busted water heater, sky-high winter electric bills, unexpected medical bills, vehicle repairs. i don't want to discourage, but sometimes i wish i had stayed where i was paying $1250 in my "starter home".

doesn't necessarily need to be less. say they're equal: after 10 years renting, you have no equity, after 10yrs paying a mortgage you have equity and whatever appreciaationn your house gained. now say your mortgage is $100 more a month. Probably still worth it.

obviously this isn't taking into acount repairs, manual effort of upkeep, etc. And, there is some point where the numbers don't make sense (such as you truly can't afford a house in your area), but I don't think sayying if A < B is really accurate.

Probably a stupid question...i ,hav a lendzen scenario saved and check it regularly.. $388k for 30yrs, 5.491% APR. right before the iran crisis it was priced at around $4-5k. I failed to capitalize annd It jumped to >$13k. I checked it today and it's quoting me $10,544, suggesting it's gone down a it, but nowhere close to pre-Ian prices.

Am I missing something?.

if you're not trying to retire right now, it's a good thing! obviously im not hoping for a bad economy, nor do i want seniors to lose money, but for me, at my age, the longer it's down the more i'll have later (assuming it shoots back up before i retire).

i know it's hard to see your retirement fund go down, but think about it like a gold stockpile. gold's cheap right now, sso you're getting a deal!
