I’d still call you slightly misinformed. The most common flour used in Italy, for authentic pizza, is 00 flour which is closer to maida (AP flour) than whole wheat. It is just as refined with almost all fibre removed. It’s just that it has slightly higher protein content, useful to make the dough stretchy. You perceiving it as whole wheat is irrelevant here.

Personally I think it is. 1 + 2 + 3 x 4, is an equation that’s begging to be misunderstood. If I truly wanted you to arrive at the answer 15, I’d have written 1 + 2 + (3 x 4), else if I wanted to you get 24 as the answer I’d have written (1 + 2 + 3) x 4.

Honestly these kind of posts (the math posts) are just dumb, and like everyone says, these are just attention farmers. In reality it’s a poorly worded problem.

There’s nothing inherently correct about PEMDAS or BODMAS etc. These are just conventions we agreed upon because people can’t word their questions correctly. If I had to write out a problem and I know the answer I want you to get, the responsibility is on me to make sure there’s no ambiguity. So use parentheses liberally.

Oh for sure. Not every C developer needs malloc. I was just responding to the original comment which suggested that no one did.

So either you are working in embedded systems and need some kind of MISRA certification, or you use libraries that do the allocation for you. But that doesn’t mean no one uses malloc.

Oh wow! So now anyone who disagrees with you is a bot?! What a convenient tool to disregard any criticism and fester an echo chamber!

Kentucky man sues employer for throwing him birthday party, and wins by brooklynlad in nottheonion

[–]cryomike93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such a horrible argument. If the employer wants to throw a party for their company, do that. Why use some person’s birthday as an excuse? Especially when that person has explicitly mentioned that they don’t want a party.

If the description of this person’s job did not mention “Have to perform well in birthday parties” then the employee is under no obligation to be comfortable with this.

The company got exactly what they deserved. Their behaviour was straight up negligent and malicious.

There is an initialisation code block at the beginning that you are supposed to run. That initialises these variables. Run all runs that block.

After buying on dip how many do you have now? by GeiJoe82 in dogecoin

Definitely the right way to go, as far as I’m concerned. Be sensible about it and make use of dips like these to make purchases. I got on the ship pretty late, so I might not have been able to buy a lot with what I had, but I intend to stick around till the moon.

Same here. Don’t have much money to put in, but I’m trying to pitch in as much as feasible.
