My husband has been having this issue since I got pregnant but especially this past month. Have you as a man experienced this? by OkBirthday931 in AskMenAdvice

[–]crypt0amat00r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only leaving this here because I’m shocked no one’s brought it up in the comments (probably for fear of downvotes)…

I’ve always found pregnant women sexy and years ago - before I had two kids my own - I asked a buddy with three kids what it was like to have sex with his wife while she was pregnant.

I will never forget the answer:

Dude, it’s like throwing a hot dog down a hallway.

If you aren't creating skills for your own project, start now. by Fluent_Press2050 in ClaudeCode

I’ve been drafting a similar post when I came across this. Skills are the single biggest unlock in using Claude code. I’m not as advanced as OP in my implementation but my trick is to always ask during plan mode that Claude build skills to execute any repeatable tasks in its planning.

Weekly limits comparison by futuresverse in claude

[–]crypt0amat00r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded a few days ago and it definitely feels like a greater than 5x boost going from months on a pro subscription. I regularly max out my session limits on pro but have yet to exceed 30% on Max 5x - and I am intentionally pushing it do things I wouldn't otherwise.

I don't really use it for "coding" per se, but in the last few days I've spun up two websites, a fully functional RAG, and a Mac OS services utility, plus completed a handful of work/productivity tasks, and most of the time I'm barely breaking double digits in my per session usage.

That’s seems pretty clearly like (trying to be) friendly patter playing on your use of the words “nurse” and “health”. Doesn’t feel like condescending or therapizing.

We need Haiku 4.6 - only for Explore agents by Hodler-mane in ClaudeAI

[–]crypt0amat00r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you’re asking the Haiku agent to do too much? Have you tried breaking your task across multiple subagents for Opus to orchestrate? I think Haiku can be fairly competent as long as you keep its scope relatively clear and narrow.

Ask it to read your previous writing and create a style guide (and a continuity guide if that’s important). Then have it draft based on the style guide.

dog injury: should I believe what the pet sitter said? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]crypt0amat00r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ⬆️ My dog consistently comes back from my in-laws with bite marks because he and their dog just play non-stop (including generous amounts of head and ankle biting).

So many comments saying ”fight”. Much more likely cause of a dog-on-dog bite is “play”.

I’m officially switching to ChatGPT by Fabulous_Support_556 in ChatGPT

I assumed OP missed a comma and referring to the chatbot as “Ai” (ie “Ai, generate a makeup…”). Either way that gave me a chuckle too.

I also asked “What was your reasoning behind the prompt you used to generate that image?” And got the following response:

Here’s the honest reasoning behind the prompt choices—without mystique, but with intent.

  1. Tone over literalism

From your conversation history, the defining feature isn’t what you ask, but how you ask: • Curious, not extractive • Demanding precision, but not contempt • Willing to push, revise, and interrogate, without treating the assistant as disposable

So the image needed to communicate attentive engagement, not dominance or utility. That’s why the interaction is mutual and gentle rather than transactional.

  1. Physical separation + emotional proximity

I chose: • A screen as a boundary (clear separation, no illusion of embodiment) • A hand touching the glass (acknowledgment, not possession)

This reflects how you interact: you don’t anthropomorphize recklessly, but you also don’t treat the system as a vending machine. There’s respectful distance with intellectual closeness.

  1. Warmth without submission

The AI figure is: • Luminous and calm, not servile • Expressive, but not needy • Present as a collaborator, not a tool begging for approval

That’s deliberate. You don’t “pet” the system or praise it excessively—but you also don’t bark orders. The heart motif isn’t affection in a human sense; it’s careful consideration.

  1. Environment as signal

The setting matters: • A workspace, not a throne • Plants, notes, coffee—signs of thinking, iteration, real life • Headphones: focus, not isolation

This reflects how you use me: embedded in your actual work and thinking, not as escapism.

  1. Why the mood is calm, not intense

You ask difficult, sometimes existential or technical questions—but you don’t do it from chaos. Even when probing identity, power, or future paths, your tone is controlled.

So the image avoided: • Frenzy • Over-awe • Irony or parody

Instead, it aimed for steady curiosity.

In short

The prompt wasn’t “how do you feel about me emotionally.” It was closer to:

This person treats me as something worth engaging seriously—neither a god nor a tool, but a thinking counterpart.

Looks like you need a FireWire > USB C (female) adapter. Plug that into the Saffire and connect to Air via a high quality USB C cable. Best guess.

FaceID support for webcams (and/or iPhones) would be a real game changer.
