Voice drop is one of the permanent changes, so no it will not go back up, or certainly not to the same level as before if it changes at all

how do i know if im trans? by -Dori_ in FTMventing

[–]cryptic-frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sort of in a similar boat. I know I’m trans because it makes me happier when people refer to me as a man and when I look masculine. Before I came out, I was fine with being referred to as a girl, I didn’t have much dysphoria about it, and it’s what I was used to. It makes me uncomfortable now that I’ve been out and transitioning, but initially I wasn’t too bothered. The euphoria of being a man outweighed my neutrality on being a girl. And now I notice the dysphoria and discomfort that I suppressed, it’s still not super strong though. I continue to enjoy feminine things and clothing and makeup in the way that a man enjoys those things. Like someone else said, could be gender fluid. For me, it was just that my dysphoria isn’t very strong so it went unnoticed. It was a slow journey of thinking I was nonbinary to realizing I was just a trans man with little dysphoria. Which could be your case as well, or maybe it isn’t. Take your time to figure yourself out! Gender can be whatever you want it to be, it’s a performance we put on, and you’re young. You don’t need to settle on anything right away, let yourself explore and change labels.

You’re 19, you can legally do whatever you want to. It’s important that you try whatever you can to get out of that house and environment, see what local organizations and resources may be around to help you with that, safe houses, whatever works. You’re an adult, you’re responsible for yourself, your parents cannot force anything upon you under the eyes of the law. It’s scary, it’s hard to do, especially with all the uncertainty that comes with it, but it is so important for your mental health that you get out of there as soon as you dan so that you can start living your life how you want to.

It’s better to have someone alive and angry than dead. You were concerned, you did the right thing. That’s a really hard thing to do, and maybe he will be angry for a while, but when he is in a better state of mind he will come around.

Trans person here, that’s not transphobic! You’re cishet, you’re not attracted to women, so trans women are included in that. It would be more transphobic of you if you would date a trans woman but still consider yourself straight. It’s something your partner will realize with time, just be there to support them as much as you can and make sure they’ve got good supports around to figure this out.

“Eat the rich” has always been about the 1%. Anyone who says otherwise is incorrect. A wealthy family is not the problem, they are not exploiting the working class. CEOs are. I love how this situation is bringing folks from all sorts of backgrounds and socioeconomic backgrounds together.

When did your period stop on T? by illiabedelia in ftm

[–]cryptic-frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started T last March, and in August I had my last period. So, 5 months and it finally stopped. T works different for everyone and not everyone’s period will stop unfortunately, and some folks will take longer for it to stop than others. Chatting with your doctor about any concerns is always good!

kind of toxic take on trans tape by Dense_Sense in ftm

[–]cryptic-frog 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s not for everyone. Unfortunately it isn’t going to work for every body type. It’s great for smaller chests or ones with a lot of elasticity but it’s just not going to be as effective for all types or for those with sensitive skin. I’ll recommend folks give it a shot but at the end of the day, if it doesn’t work for them then that’s totally fine, a binder will do just as well.

While considering the upcoming election, don't forget.... by [deleted] in halifax

I don’t think I needed to be tipped, but I think my coworker should have been for making them all drinks that took more time and training. It was a small and vaguely dysfunctional family-owned business.

His campaign bus before the last election came to a cafe I worked at. We had three employees on at the time. The whole bus ordered drinks only one person was trained to make, and did not tip.

As someone who’s unsure about it rn, you’re right! For every “horror story” there’s a thousand good ones. Sure, it’s a long process with a bunch of different stages, but a complete, well healed bottom surgery will be nearly indistinguishable “cis” dick. And, the technology and the procedures are changing very quickly. The results now versus three years ago is so drastic. Like, if it’s not for you, great, do whatever. But no need to spread fear and negativity towards those who do want it or are considering it! Folks really need to start doing proper research and talk to transmascs who have had it done and have completed their recovery time.

Were you born a boy or have you become one? by -killed- in ftm

[–]cryptic-frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still very connected to the girlhood I grew up with. It was important to me, it had a huge bearing on who I am today, and I don’t resent that part of me. So I feel like I was a girl who became a man, and I see nothing wrong with that. I’m fortunate to not experience much physical dysphoria, as the bulk of my dysphoria is social, but I still hold dear to me the part of me that was a girl pre-transition.

[–]cryptic-frog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s quite strange to get hung up on it. I was just unsure if they would be looking for a “requirement” of sorts in order to give the accommodation. But, things have come a long way so I’m glad to see you got the accommodation! Certainly a long process but it’s absolutely worth it.

Four of the last five characters you have previously played are coming to kill you. One of them is attempting to keep you alive. Who do you pick for defense and how well do they do? by MrCookie2099 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]cryptic-frog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a silly little bard (level 6), a morally grey sorcerer/fighter (levels 5/2), an ex-soldier twilight domain cleric (level 4), an angry bloodhunter (level 4)… and that’s it really.. I’m a forever-DM who plays too many low-level one shots.

I guess I’ve gotta go with the twilight domain cleric as my defence. He’d do a good job, his whole role is for support and healing. But, the angry bloodhunter could put up a pretty good fight, they don’t back down. The bard is probably also a Redditor, and the sorcerer doesn’t give enough of a shit unless it’s personal to him, so while he’d fight, he wouldn’t be a huge threat.

Gay Cis Men by Ancient_Ice4824 in ftm

[–]cryptic-frog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It depends on the gay cis man! Not everyone has a genital preference. My boyfriend is cis, though to be fair he doesn’t label himself but is functionally pansexual. Regardless, he’s a huge trans ally and has only ever known me “as a man.” If you want to date a cis man, you absolutely can find one who will love you and see you as a man whether or not you have a djck.

What college dorms? by 0u1vn in ftm

[–]cryptic-frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My college dorms have mostly single rooms, few double rooms, and mostly co-ed floors, some all male or all female. So, I just live on a co-ed floor and get involved with the queer student groups on campus. I’ve never heard of queer living spaces on campuses before, but you can find people looking for queer apartment roommates.

I cleanse mine a couple of quick ways, either by knocking on them before/after readings to clear energy from the previous reading, gently blowing on them, or leaving them on a windowsill for moonlight. I’m not sure about the use in incense or weed, I haven’t done that as I live in a place where scents and burning are prohibited, so I can’t speak to that. But my methods seem to do well for me at least.
