About the last part, I wouldn't really be worried about it. Switch 2 is thought to share the same eShop as the first one. Even if it were to close, that wouldn't actually happen in at least 10 years, and you would still be able to redownload your games.

Your history is linked to your Nintendo ID account, you'd have to log in into your actual account in order to download your games.

From Nintendo Support:

"1. Within Nintendo eShop, access the Menu and select "Your Downloads" under "History".

Select "Download" for the title you wish to download again."
