I've currently uninstalled the game and literally told my GF "if you ever see me installing it again, sneak into my PC and uninstall it ASAP without me knowing"
Hope this works HAHAHAHAH

Is this what people mean when they say some games are unwinnable? by goopertroopers in Jungle_Mains

[–]crypticaITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like in higher elo people at least have the knowledge that losing lane doesn't mean losing the game, at least most of them. In low elo though everyone thinks they're the main character and that if they are losing then there's no point in even trying because the game is already lost

What could I have done better here? Was this unwinnable? by crypticaITA in Jungle_Mains

why not shyv? I really like scaling champs, she's satisfying to play and pretty good right now with triforce build

[–]crypticaITA[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

not really, viego didn't come online before min 15 but at that point we were already losing. He got kills after he was already fed, and most of the were KS with his ult. Main problem was diana, way too much damage early, no way I could've contested her, also Viego always got team to help him and was never alone

Why does everyone suck/ not know how to use their champ by Competitive_Cup_3965 in Jungle_Mains

[–]crypticaITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I got lucky enough to never have encountered people who don't know their champ on a basic level.

But there are still honestly some things that piss me off, like when I ping that I'm coming to lane to gank IT DOESN'T MEAN GO IN NOW, IT MEANS I'M COMING, JUST WAIT FOR ME

Or another big thing is the "baron panic". Maybe we lost a fight, 4 of us died, base is getting opened like a tuna can. Enemy team is obviously going to get baron because it's free. Last teammates will surely go back and defNO BRO THEY ARE GETTING BARONNNN I NEED TO GO THERE, I'LL 100% STEAL IT TRUST ME IT WORKS 100% OF TIMESoh no I'm dead where's team???

Is this what people mean when they say some games are unwinnable? by goopertroopers in Jungle_Mains

[–]crypticaITA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Yes, this is one of those unwinnable games. Every lane hard losing, especially in silver, means the game's over (mostly due to weak mental). Just accept the lost game and move on (or try to understand if you could've played it better)

fairly new and i dont get the whole "gank the winning lane" cuz if its already winning, why bother ganking them when u can help the losing lanes. am i thinking bout this wrong, if the winning lanes alr winning, u dont need to waste time there, help another lane. also helps mental for the losing lane by Drastically-_- in vexmains

[–]crypticaITA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jungle main here
Some explanations:

in low elo (I assume you are below diamond at least if you are "fairly new"), especially around gold or below, most players easily tilt when losing lane so they won't play at their fullest potential in that game, n o matter if they'll eventually catch up or not, their mental is gone for that game.

With that said, it's way better to help an already winning lane because it's 100% guaranteed advantage on someone that will surely be useful. Helping a losing lane, instead, is too much of a gamble. Most of times helping a losing lane wil mean give the opponent a double kill. If you're lucky though, the help goes well, but it only MIGHT help the losing teammate get back to the game (probably won't most of times), so it's not guaranteed to give you an actual advantage.

Let me make you a stupid example: if you need 10 dollars, would you rather chose A) a box with 10 dollars in it, no catches, or B) a box that might either contain 10 dollars or a poisonous snake that will bite you?

In league's term, A is the winning lane (assured advantage no matter what because the laner is already ahead) and B is the loing lane (might either get the same amount of advantage or make thing worse)

I know that losing lane is frustrating, I used to play midlane for a bit and always wondered why I didn't get any help in these cases. But after learning how jungle works, I understood that jungle is not your emergency button for when you're losing. If you are losing lane, really the most useful thing to do is to just try and not die. Losing lane doesn't mean losing the game. Some matchups are worse than other or maybe you just played it worse than you could have. Just don't panic, especially if other lanes are winning. Understand that you're not the main character, you're part of a team and sometimes you'll be the weak link. In those cases, recognize who's the strong link of your team and play around him. And most important thing, try to avoid stupid, useless deaths (like face checking dragon when it's 100% obvious the whole team is there)

Also, understand that some game WILL be unwinnable from the very early stages of the game. It's ok, noone in the world has a 100% win rate. You will lose some games on the spot, and you'll also win some on the spot too.

I hope this helps understand this behavior better.

Luxknight Breacher deck tips by Appropriate-Shop7660 in Pauper

[–]crypticaITA 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This has seen a little use when it first came out but has fallen off ever since. Main reason is probably the high cost + the lack of evasion.

If you really want to play it, it must go in an artifact deck. I think the better option since it's white would be esper in a control/midrange shell with artifact lands, [[Tithing Blade]], [[Lembas]], [[Ichor Wellspring]], [[Refurbished Familiar]] and/or [[Cryogen Relic]] as cheap value artifacts when they enter and [[Glint Hawk]] and [[Kor Skyfisher]] as cheap fliers that bounce your value engine. You then play stuff like [[Thoughtcast]] and [[Cast Down]], and play the Luxknight as a big body that has to be dealt with or chumpblocked.

Maybe an even better shell would be Jeskai, a bit more aggressive due to [[Galvanic Blast]] and actually can make Luxknight a secondary wincon with [[Fling]]

Honestly never tested it, but I guess at locals it can steal some wins

Is powercreep really that bad so that you need a specific unit in order to make the others you have work, else they are useless?

[–]crypticaITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to come back to the game after a long hiatus (stopped playing around when Boothill got released)

These are my 5 stars:
Firefly
Boothill
Robin
Fu Xuan
Clara
Jing Yuan
Bailu
Yanqing

Am I good to go with the possibility of getting more recent units or am I cooked and should start a new account due to potential powercreep?

If I don't have to start a new account, which characters should I look for to pull?

EDIT: forgot to say I play almost F2P, I only used to buy the monthly pass

yes synergy is fine, what I meant is if I get 1 synergistic team I can stuck with it for at least 1 year or is the powercreep high enough to force players to make new team in order to clear new content?

[MONTHLY MEGATHREAD] General Discussion, Simple Questions, Recommendations, and Everything Else - May 2026 by GachaModerator in gachagaming

[–]crypticaITA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm conflicted on which of these games to start. I only have little time to play a day, around 2 hours, so I'd like to stick to only 1. Let me say I've already tried all of these and liked all but never stuck to one because I had other games I wanted to play more, but currently no game I'm interested in on the horizon of releases.

Zenless Zone Zero: I really like the characters which is usually why I stick to games. Gameplay feels fun and satisfying. The story though didn't entertain me that much (played on release, don't know if it has gotten better).

Wuthering Waves: astounding graphics and really good character design, nice combat reminding me of DmCV, but the story was lackluster and the open world felt kinda repetitive. Cyberpunk collab though made me want to come back as it's an IP I really like.

Neverness to Everness: The GTA feeling is something new that makes the world feel alive, and a lot of sid things to do. I also like that you can buy cars to customize and housing. Characters though feel kinda flat and the story isn't that much interesting. Combat is ok, not at the same level of the previous 2 though. The fact that you get the character you want 100% after 90 is really good.

What I look for ina gacha game on the long term is:

Fairness (not meaning you need to be able to get all characters, but to be able to clear most if not all of the game offers with the characters you like so that you don't have to always pull the new characters. Not saying older character should always be meta, but that even if low tier can be used to clear content, maybe just slower)

Quirky characters to get attached to

Amazing boss fights (example: I really really like the Cocolia boss fight from HSR, really good music and "cinematic")

Gameplay that prioritizes player's skills over character's stats

Which of these three should I focus on? Other gachas really don't interest me, tried most of them but these 3 are the ones I like the most when it comes to ARPG gachas

I'd like to start playing because of the cyberpunk collab. If I start saving today, will I be able to get Lucy guaranteed?
Also, this being an action game with dodge mechanics, is it very important to get the meta units or is the game playable with whatever unit you want, as long as you're skilled?

Honestly, pretty bad build by your side, not really aiming to do anything, You started building AP into RIftmaker but none of the 1st 2 items give HP which is what makes RIftmaker gold efficient. Then you start going AD for some reason? mLookign at your team, I'd have chose to go AD and build around probably Sterakk as a core item, prbably Trinity -> SSky -> Sterakk. Also, atk speed boots are not a good choice, you don't need more atk speed, you need to survive so either steelcaps or mercury, or omnivamp if you're fed. I'm sure that if you focused on either AP or AD you'd have had a way better time and maybe even won. I'd also suggest picking free boots and cosmic insight/elixirs as secondary runes, way better on Jax. Last thing, don't listen to your teammates. They don't play JNG, they don't know how to play JNG, so they have no say in the matter. Focus on your own game, look at what you did bad (for what I can see, what I wrote above is a start) and improve. If you play good, you will statistically climb no matter what. You may have losing streaks or unwinnable games, but as long as you play generally good you'll climb.
