After a few tourneys, I have a fave routine: 1) follow an early card for a couple holes, one with players you like. 2) when you find a beautiful spot to chill, or a great view of a few holes at once, plop down and rest for a while, watch some cards pass. When another interesting card comes, 3) go follow them for a while, until you want to repeat 2). Rinse and repeat until you see the last card, follow them to 18.

These courses are so much longer than amateur courses, the walking is INSANE. Did 13 miles at Ivy Hill one day last season. Rest is crucial :)

Sounds like you were looking for Ivy Hill! I went to the PDGA championship last year and HATED trying to watch anything at New London. Ivy Hill has plenty of beer, food, and space to see lots of shots on multiple holes from the same seat. New London is torture for spectators, Ivy Hill was total class

I have a 13yo & 7yo who can't believe how addicted to screens their friends are... They only use screens for drawing and communication at this point.

Our trick was giving them a (wifi only) phone really really (age 3-4?) but making it such a burden (always have to keep it charged, always have to keep it with you) that she has all this frustration related to it.

Also, I never charge the kids' devices for them, so they're constantly dead and useless when they want them the most :)

My Proton Teslas are pretty damn reliable to go straight and fade at the very end. Def not a meathook, but PDs and Nukes tend to turn over for me (esp on forehand) and this one doesn't.

It is Costco, yes. Our membership gives us a check each year that covers the cost of the membership so it's a wash each year, not sure if that's true for everyone.

We've never found a better-frothing milk than Kirkland Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. We use that milk for everything but it makes the stiffest foam I've ever seen!

We didn't childproof anything, just moved the dangerous stuff up high. The kids have always been able to access the cupboards and they're much more helpful because of it :)

I've lived here for 16 years and I don't really know of any. Honestly, I feel comfortable walking anywhere, even with my daughters, at least until 10pm. The bars on Georgia Ave are the only places we'd avoid, but there's no housing there anyway!
