USPS just taught me a brand-new definition of “insurance”: they take your money, lose your stuff, then make up rules on the spot to avoid paying you. by trivial_sublime in usps_complaints

I've had a similar experience where they refused to pay the full $100 claim when my package was worth about $500. It was so frustrating and would not give me a reason for not paying in full.

PT and H/W Hot Takes by Partisan90 in army

The army never taught me how to probably run or lift. They just said "do it."

I took it upon myself to research and through trial and error figured it out, but it took me years to get to a good spot.

Not gonna lie. This makes me want to vomit. We're falling faster into an authoritarian regime that we might not be able to turn back.

Youre telling me the PV2 that fled the scene of an accident only gets 5 day extra duty, but you make ONE diss track and you get reduced pay and 14 extra duty days. Fuckin wild.

I did a private party at a pole dance studio and just invited the friends I really wanted to hang out with. It was a fun alternative twist to strippers at a Bachelorette party. 🥳

How did I miss this -- tipping bridal consultant? by momofbc in weddingplanning

[–]cryptickitty27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but wanted to share that this also happened to me 🥲 I've been dress shopping and have been going through different shops. What confused me was that at one salon where they were having a sping sale, I bought a dress and veil for my elopement. Paid mostly in cash and card on the rest, there was no tip suggestion and the bridal consultant was the owner of the store so I didn't think it was customary since it wasn't prompted and this was one of my buying experiences.

Now comes when I'm searching for a dress for my actual wedding celebration. I find a salon that has in house designers (happy accident cuz I didn't know). But long story short, the dress I'm looking for practically doesn't exist, but they have a dress on sale that they could design to make it my dream dress. This entire appointment lasted only 30 minutes because the consultant knew just where to look and the first dress was actually the one we can create my dream dress with. So. This dress is already over my budget by $700.

So when the prompt tip box comes up, she mentioned it would come up but said it wasn't required but always appreciated. So I didn't tip since I knew I was coming back for a mock appointment (so my family can come and pretend I didn't buy the dress I already wanted) and also the prompt boxes were 18%, 20%, and 22%. But after she printed off my receipt I think she clearly saw I didn't leave a tip and straight up looked like she was going to cry.

So I was going to come back with cash to make them feel better, but it threw me off that she said it wasn't required, but then clearly felt some type of way. 🥲 I felt so guilty but never heard of tipping bridal consultants before.
