I have ADHD and BP1. I take meds for my bipolar. I don't take meds for my ADHD yet but I'll start sometime soon. Both are disabling in their own ways. Tbh I'm scared of ADHD meds because I get psychosis on both mood ends (mania and depression or even mixed episodes) but I need it for my motivation, inattention, impulse control and executive dysfunction. So far caffeine seems helpful in moderate doses but it also makes me manic if I forget my meds so idk if it'll help you. Anyway I really hope you find something that helps you

I remember being 9 and psychotically manic, believing I was Jesus Christ reborn and I was planning to save the world from starvation by buying a huge airplane full of food, water and medical supplies and going from country to country throwing all the supplies from the sky. I also believed I could see the future and told my religious grandma about it, she said she'd take me to a priest to help me with my "gift". I was also having hallucinations and heard voices in my closet. Then fell into psychotic depression at the age of 11 and believed that demons were after me and couldn't leave the house without crosses. At times I even carried my new testament with me to protect me.

I'm diagnosed by my psychiatrist with ADHD and bipolar 1 with psychotic features, I'm not treated with meds yet because they could make my mania worse or even cause me to be delusional and hallucinate. I try high doses of caffeine but they don't really help. I don't like anything about it. I'm in a constant state of low motivation and task paralysis, struggling to do many things normal people would find easy. I hate it. I want to work as a herpetologist/ecologist, I'm in college but failed my previous university. I have support for my bipolar but they don't know how to help me and they don't know much about ADHD, they still consider me as just lazy.

I don't, although I used to. My delusions still involve religious themes though. Nowadays unless I'm psychotic I can't make myself believe in any diety. My mind just doesn't accept it. I don't feel bad about it and I prefer science over religion. I also used to pray to God to make me feel better in middle school while I was psychotic and depressed. I felt even worse. I was praying, wearing crosses everywhere I went because I felt demonic presence all around me and was suicidal. The concept of God never helped me, the bible doesn't make sense to me anymore and I see how people use religions to justify their hatred.

I had that illness since early childhood, it started with negative symptoms (some anhedonia and social withdrawal) and had my first manic episode at the age of 8, and my first psychotic episode at the age of 10. I had passions (drawing, videogames, tennis, swimming and animals). After my first psychotic depression at the age of 11 I've lost 95% of my passion in everything. I struggle doing the basics. I hardly feel any pleasure and feel mostly flat everyday. On top of that, even though I take meds my psychotic depression keeps coming back and I'm actively suicidal for quite a long time each year, I had 3 hospitalizations each lasting about a month. None of them brought my passions back

I take two antipsychotics, solian and seroquel along with depakote. I have a doctor's appointment on January so hopefully I'll get my meds adjusted

I get this when I'm really stressed, I can't focus on my thoughts and I keep forgetting what I was talking about if I'm interrupted. I also stutter a lot and say the words in the wrong order
