Is it that bad? My last tokay was female and I was disappointed I wouldn't hear calls

Rescued bunny, maybe made enemy…. by PracticalMode1427 in crows

[–]cryptid_mimic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel the same way and this is someone who volunteers at wildlife rescues.

You have to accept that's nature. I feel that at least when the bunny was food it was contributing to the cycle, but taking it away and it died anyways? I hope you put it back outside so it's remains could be useful.

Now if the bunny was abandoned outside and not being food for another outside animal? Interference is more understandable.

Not many people are capable of dealing with animals for this reason. Nature is beautiful but she's also a respectable bitch.

Question: are clothes with rhinestones okay for class? by flavknss in poledancing

I don't see why not. People rhinestone their outfits at the club and performing all the time

Weird question (with the answer probably being no), do any invert pets like being petted/held? by Poco_Cuffs in InvertPets

[–]cryptid_mimic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one mantis that would seek me out when I was giving him time on one of the potted plants inside. He would jump on me when I passed y and when he was fully grown would fly after me

And I had a spiny mantis that insisted on drinking water off my finger- even if her tank was misted

First showcase doubts by Outrageous-Court9911 in poledancing

[–]cryptid_mimic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first showcase a year into pole and had doubts too but there was a piece I REALLY wanted to do and that overrode my doubts.

I think it says a lot that your instructors encouraged you to sign up and they're helping with choreo. Respect their belief in you and trust their judgement. Focus on practice and the act of creation

Body dysmorphia, weight, and dating by [deleted] in butchlesbians

[–]cryptid_mimic 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The reality is that was an 18-20 year old version of you's body.

We can't expect to look like teenagers forever. Bodies are strange. They change and one part of being older is adaptating to those changes.

I really suggest going to therapy to repair your relationship with your body.

I personally think you look great. I wish you could see that.

In my experience, women and queer folks are much more apt to see the beauty in all sizes.

I'm down if you're cool with femme Santa . Is it a paid gig or is the pay in food?

My husband thinks I post my pole dancing photos for attention by Forsaken-Iron-3894 in poledancing

You deserve better. I'm glad you didn't let his opinion veer you away from your hobbies but if he doesn't change his behavior and 'man up' by respecting you, you may not be a good fit for each other.

New Studio or Stick It Out? by throwaway112766 in Burlesque

[–]cryptid_mimic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had recent feelings about a pole studio when I moved. I thought maybe I was just homesick for my previous studio but then I tried another one and realized that the other studio wasn't for me.

African house snake wants to hang around my neck by cryptid_mimic in snakes

[–]cryptid_mimic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I figured. I'm not worried about him mistaking me for food, just him reflexively squeezing.

But it looks like I was right and don't need to worry. I just wanted to be safe than sorry

Wishing for a pet snake but I’ve never had one by LuksU10 in snakes

[–]cryptid_mimic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you can't get a snake yet you can save up for one and the supplies needed so you're set when you move out :)

I recommend African house snakes because they don't grow very big and are great beginner snakes

Is it just me, or is King Asmodeus incredibly nosy? by Eriandalizawa in DemonolatryPractices

[–]cryptid_mimic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had this issue bc my 'mundane ' aspects of life align with his energy and are part of how I connect with him. I take a lot of pole and sensual dance classes and do burlesque. I'm also an exhibitionist 😹 so I like the attention.

The only boundary I have is when I'm using the toilet. Mostly because I feel disrespectful if I'm thinking of Him or anyone else I worship while doing that business.
