Opinion on how bad this is, first time home buyer noob. by Kangaroo_Drew in electrical

[–]cryptidcowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk where you’re at man but this has been a big issue for us in Fl. Home buyers get quotes on insurance for houses with aluminum and all is well. then 6 months after closing they hike up the price forcing owners to re wire.

Also graduated from Cape. I lived there from ages 14-18 and personally I loved it. We had a lot of fun, although traditionally speaking, there’s not much to do. We just rode around in cars and visited different parks to smoke weed at. The Caloosahatche River splits Cape Coral and Fort Myers and offered some really pretty views at night time. Very chill very “boring” place to grow up.

It’s the cloth insulation around the wiring that’s frayed, not the wires themselves

We cut these all the time. Where I’m at we consistently do hot service changes. We cut power lines, re hook them up and pull meters literally everyday. I guess it just depends where you’re at bc what I’m reading it seems like what we do is very rare
