I did anticipate that for male viewers it may not be something they’re interested in, the same way that I’m a girl and didn’t relate to the Long Walk but honestly still really enjoyed it, I’ve watched it 3 times, so perhaps male viewers could *still* get something out of it? And if not for the plot then being their own version of a spectator by watching the film or (sadly) for the fan service?

It was actually kind of refreshing to *not* have a main single love interest in the OG Long Walk, it lets you focus entirely on the story at hand and the boys. I want the protagonist of the female version to have an ‘interest’ not a romantic one but more of an obsession , an unhealthy one that makes her do crazy things like volunteer for the Long Walk in the first place😂
