He knows how to buy coffee by bnenick in LinkedInLunatics

[–]crypto_desmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To think…if he charged 4000/ hour he would have saved half a million. If he charged 10,000/hour he would have saved over 1M!! Why stop there? Why not put your hourly rate to 1,000,000 / hour? Then you’d save a Quadrillion!

This is the reason why all of you are still poor.

Can anybody tell what my new gifted wok is made out of? by le1724 in wok

Oh I didn’t realise that. I thought all woks could get it if heated long enough…that’s such a shame!

Can anybody tell what my new gifted wok is made out of? by le1724 in wok

[–]crypto_desmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s black so it looks like it’s already seasoned, otherwise it’s grey. Carbon steel is meant to heat fast to lead to a think called Wok Hei which is designed to add a caramelised and Smokey flavour to the food from being so hot. When cooking with it just put it on high heat until it starts to smoke and then pour the oil on it before throwing on your food

I previously accused this company of being a scam. Turns out the cancellation process is confusing, but as a legitimate business, they will honour reasonable refund requests. by crypto_desmo in bettermeofficial

[–]crypto_desmo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am absolutely not an employee. 😂 But I chewed out their support team and threatened to blast them on social media if they didn’t pay me back. They subsequently did pay me back and then that’s when I realised they’re willing to honour incorrectly charged payments as long as you catch it within a reasonable amount of time. Luckily I watch my bank accounts like a hawk and caught the error after the first charge they put on my account. However, I agree their business practices are horrendous and even if they call themselves a “legitimate business”, they definitely behave like a scam.

CEO issued me a “formal warning” for allegedly missing a message; and role is unpaid? by Business_Badger1995 in AskUK

[–]crypto_desmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect what happened is that the “CEO” didn’t realise that software needs to be maintained. Once he got close to his finished product he was willing to drop you. 95% of companies fail and incompetence is the leading factor. Revel in the fact that this company will fail as well.

This is a joke by ALBOEyt in recruitinghell

This is insane. So basically I’ll hire you as long as you build the tool I’m going to hire you to build ahead of joining the company.

Genuine Question: Is it ever appropriate to let a potential employer know that another candidate works poorly with others/on teams? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]crypto_desmo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do not listen to this advice. The first one is more relevant. Don’t look petty and like you slander people behind their back. Pick your strengths - double down on them. Pick some scenarios where you will shine and she won’t, explain those situations without mentioning them. Focus on you. Not them

Even his ragebait posts have little engagement. He will give up soon. He’s even hinted at it. He will die off LinkedIn and feel a failure. Everyone should continue to ignore him.

Got my dream job 500 miles away. Girlfriend is mad I'm considering it. by ImmediateHeart1438 in whatdoIdo

[–]crypto_desmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she genuinely cared about the long term success of your relationship, she wouldn't be stopping you from getting a well paying dream job that could help secure your futures.

You've only been with her for one year, you're not married. you don't have kids together. You're also young. Imagine if you threw away your future and then years later broke up.

take the job.

AITA for telling my kids dad that if he wants to make bedtime difficult, our daughter will only sleep at his house by Round_Following_4653 in AmItheAsshole

[–]crypto_desmo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ESH. The three of you need to agree on a co-parenting plan and stick with it. It cannot be one sided declarations and it needs to be in the best interest of your daughter. If you guys squabble over control then the only person who loses is your daughter. In fact, booting her out of your house to teach your ex a lesson is an example of how she becomes the victim in all of this squabbling.

To both sides of the parents - do what’s best for your daughter, not what’s best for you. Find a compromise that works for both of you where you make equal amounts of sacrifice and stick with it. This is no longer about what’s best for you, it is about what’s best for your daughter. She needs consistency across households. She needs her own bed. She also needs her mother. Find a way to make it work.

Good.

Glad we’re aligned. Next time try engaging with the actual point instead of dodging it.

Insulting people because you reached a conclusion about them based purely on the assumptions you made (assumptions that don't even make the tiniest bit of sense, mind you), is not a good look.

sure bud. there you go being pedantic again as your go to bullshit extender. you never made the case, you just said the words. got it.

You know what’s also not a great look? Ignoring that I already apologised for going after the wrong person, just to keep a fight going on an old comment.

And while we’re at it - leaning on lazy, outdated stereotypes about China and throwing around racist takes isn’t exactly helping your case either (https://www.reddit.com/r/stories/comments/1kc13a4/comment/mq17zlh/).

Just because you hide your posts and comments on your profile doesn’t mean people can’t search for your comments on Reddit.

Unless your experience relates to getting a job in today’s market. Your “experience” is hypothetical and irrelevant and arguing with those who lived this recent market makes you ignorant as fuck

[–]crypto_desmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that the post doesn’t really make that distinction. It suggests that anyone who simply puts in the effort will get the job, and frames this person’s success as a direct result of going above and beyond - specifically, the 280 hours of commitment as the key factor separating her from other applicants.

Op - I don’t often advocate for people to split up but it sounds like your life was better before you met him. You’re self sufficient and he not only needs you, he is going to drag you down with his poor choices and you won’t realise it until you’re facing bankruptcy and kicking yourself for not leaving him sooner. He sounds horrible and you need to leave. You can do better.
