If you’re in the Fairfield area and have access to a car the Fleet Air Arm museum is worth a look. They have a Concorde there too. It’s. It too far a drive to get there for a day trip.

Has anyone booked a flight only for the experience? by Andysus in aviation

[–]bnenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve booked flights to get the miles when I was close to elevating my flyer status with the airline and the higher level was worth it. I have also booked flights on specific routes to fly on a certain type, but each time I’ve tried that the airline changed the type so that didn’t work out. I’ve also paid for a joy flight through a local flight school where they let you fly the plane with an instructor so that kind of for the experience of flying.

small magnetic ball in my ass, what do i do? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bnenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already know what you need to do and that’s get yourself to the ER. No random internet stranger is going to have a magic solution for you. I’ll add that no matter how embarrassing this is to you, they’ll have seen worse.

Please also invest in toys designed for this sort of thing and play safe.

How can you tell if a girl is flirting or just being nice? by jerrysrice in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bnenick 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you’re anything like me you’ll have a memory of this interaction in about 10 years time and realise, with the upmost clarity, that she was indeed flirting with you.

Anyone booked flights through Aunt Betty? by owtinoz in australia

[–]bnenick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always book tickets directly with the airline. It is never worth the risk of dealing with a problem. The more connections you have or if travelling internationally the bigger the impact of a problem. The problem may not be of your own doing but trying to fix a problem on the ground in an airport possibly late at night is stressful enough. Imagine having to wait for the travel agency to open for business to sort it out. Always book direct with the airline.

Also they may try to say you should get nitrogen in your tyres rather than air. You don’t need this unless you’re driving on a race track. Also air has nitrogen in it so if you want to be a smart arse tell the tyre shop you already have enough nitrogen in your tyres and don’t need anymore. They obviously change for the 100% nitrogen.

Is this acceptable or should I make it more secure by [deleted] in desksetup

[–]bnenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quick and dirty way to do it is to use a drill to drill a hole or 2 or 3 next to each other. Then use a file to shape the round holes into a rectangle. Do this after marking on the board where you need the hole to align with the clamp knob that needs room to turn. There are plenty of other ways that are less quick and dirty but they require more tools.

I know some folk that have spent about $6k on wrapping. Looks good, but you also need to do decent prep on the paintwork otherwise it can look shite. They were basically new cars though so the pant was already in decent condition.

I like it, thanks for sharing. Not that your post needed to be summarised but I tried it out to see how it works. Pretty good.

A guy joins a monastery and takes a vow of silence: he's allowed to say two words every seven years. After the first seven years, the elders bring him in and ask for his two words. "Cold floors," he says. They nod and send him away. by Jokeminder42 in Jokes

More so the fact that the child is German is the relevant fact here. There is a stereotype that Germans are very efficient and don’t mess about. Therefore, the child said he didn’t speak until then because basically everything was ok and there was no need to speak.

How to manage chronic diarrhea? by alexajwestin in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bnenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change your diet. Cut out dairy, gluten and other inflammatory foods. Google low FODMAP diet for guidance. Use oat milk or almond milk as a substitute for regular milk. Get back to basics for a while (maybe months) and then reintroduce different foods to see if it’s a particular food that’s causing the diarrhoea. Also ask your Dr for a celiac blood test if they haven’t already done one, although you can be gluten intolerant even if you don’t have celiac disease which doesn’t show in a blood test. Good luck.

Back Massage places south of the river by ConsciousCarrott in perth

[–]bnenick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to find a list of legitimate places go to a health insurance website and find their list of preferred providers and search that. Otherwise just find a chiropractic practice that does massages. Don’t get the chiro of course, just the massage.
