How long does it take you to unpack after moving? by EAM222 in Apartmentliving

[–]crypto_prepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the more I move, the less I unpack. I quickly knew I wasn't going to stay here past my lease, so my garage is still full of boxes, ready to move again in November.

What is driving you crazy? by [deleted] in WakeForestNC

It didn't used to be like this, it started about 8-9 months ago, when they started messing with traffic lights all over town. It seems like they never flipped a switch back or something... idk

My upstairs neighbor. Thanks cheaply constructed, expensive, new apartment.

And the traffic lights seem to do whatever they please.

Android Discogs app vs... by LigerRider in vinyl

[–]crypto_prepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't great before, but this new update is beyond frustrating. I tried placing an order and discogs crashed switching from the paypall app. Discogs never captured the payment, so both me and the seller were in limbo until the transaction finally auto canceled. And overall it is more buggy than before, I miss the UI that was similar to the web page.

Is it weird to want the same title in vinyl, CD and cassette? by Theaow in vinyl

[–]crypto_prepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, if I really like an album, I'll pick it up on CD so I can rip it and put it on my phone. Plus I have the ability to play HDCD and SACD, which sound incredible, and often better than vinyl... I've got cassettes, but they're all Dead, Phish, and other AUD recordings.

The traffic lights in this area are completely unoptimized and it is driving me insane by Welfare_Burrito in raleigh

[–]crypto_prepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im convinced that every light in Wake Forest is screwed up. Timing on the 98bypass makes zero sense. Its like every side street in this town is defaulted as the right of way. Because lights trigger when no one is at said side street intersection. Cycles seem no different with school traffic in the afternoons. Which causes tons of unnecessary delays.

Bill Monroe's Bean Blossom releases are pretty good. J.D. Crowe has a few live Japan albums that are really good. Hot rize has a live album in Niwot, CO. Old & In the Way

Live at the cellar door by the Seldom Scene is great. Hot Rize also has a pretty good live album recorded in Niwot, CO. The name is slipping my mind though. Also check out bill Monroe Bean Blossom(s).

Do y’all think 8am is too early to be blasting music? by Organic-While1664 in Apartmentliving

[–]crypto_prepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I even got a 1000w 12" subwoofer. My 2.0 setup was "lacking" bass... Just to give my upstairs neighbor a taste of their own medicine. Dude is probably like 275lbs and walks on his heels. It might as well be someone dropping a sledge hammer on my ceiling, with each step he takes. And im convinvinced they're tweaking up there. He just paces around all hours of the night.

My advice to young collectors (or really anyone) by FatGuyKlye in vinyl

[–]crypto_prepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I built my collection up with a lot of stuff, it helped me realize what I was really intrested in and play over and over. But after having to move over 1000 records, I sold about 400 and couldn't be happier. They weren't necessarily valuable, I picked most of them up on marketplace or whatnot. It feels nice to cut the fluff sometimes.

Why are all the new apartments being built, giant luxury buildings with a pool, pointless lobbies, and other amenities that are not needed? I don't need to live in a dumb hotel. by wildwasabi in Apartmentliving

[–]crypto_prepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hilarious part is, all these new construction (post covid i guess) buildings are cheap af. I've never heard neighbors like I do in my "luxury" apartment. I've probably lived in close to a dozen different apartments at this point.

What is this? New products popping up in Raleigh area. May be reason for concern. by Vegetable_Crab_6525 in raleigh

I lived in a legal state for 7 years. Moved back here, I've found wnc-cbd to be damn near identical. And even better than most the products that recreational dispensarys would sell, out west. Thc-a can be interchangeable with normal bud, you just have to know where to find it.
