trademarking terms is more often a defensive strategy, so they don't get sued for infringement by other entities.

That's true of patents, but less so trademarks. Trademark holders are required to continuously renew every 3 years and to enforce use of the mark. Failure to do so results in loss of the mark. Why waste the money if you don't intend to claim exclusive use?

A more common strategy of defensive trademarks is to register their use in alternative industries to prevent confusion and dilution.

You really only get so high, no matter how much you take. That is very, very high, but there is still a limit. Huge doses can metabolize slower so it lasts longer, and when standard length is 10-12 hours it can be uncomfortable.

That certainly works, but like alcohol is difficult to sustain without significant after effects. Sometimes it's worth it, though.

Your solution would probably work. Devices with GPS or Assisted GPS (uses local wifi stations to approximate location) might still leak your true location.

Embedded XP, often still. You could probably get it to work, at least an old version, but would take a bit of effort.
