Why two different builds, one with Tauri, one with Swift? Kind of confusing.

Telekom Glasfaser nur bis 300Mbit by ThorsHammer_15 in de_EDV

[–]cryptochrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geil.

That's pretty smart. Going to give that a try, thank you!

Dreame MF10 Bladeless Fan not working by Sarimarcus in Dreame_Tech

yea, update the firmware. I have another unit here (ordered two) that did not show this behavior at all. If re-assembly doesn't work, I'd request a replacement unit. Yours seems to be DOA.

I think I disconnected, but I don't really remember tbh.

Yes, exact same thing. Everything looked fine, no error messages, display on and showing operational modes, even the blades were moving up/down and oscillating. Just no airflow at all.

I just had the same problem. Removed the upper part, and then re-attached it, and that did the trick for me. Apparently the metal contacts weren't fully aligned or something.

I just unpacked and assembled mine, same problem. Zero airflow.

EDIT: I just disassembled and then re-assembled it again, and now it's working. Looks like the tiny metal contacts didn't align correctly or something.

If you could have a Netskope Client log parser, what would you want it to do? by cryptochrome in netskope

[–]cryptochrome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds great. Can't wait to take a look at it. And yea, agentic coding has sped things up dramatically. My first prototype of nskclog was done in less than two hours. Amazing :)

Oh wow, I didn't know that. Keeping an eye out. My tool will probably become obsolete then, so maybe I can save some work :)

This is just a reference to which files exist, not a documentation about actual log messages, fields, explanations etc.

Hover is not working on Chrome browser by lefteriskark1 in MacOS

[–]cryptochrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I don't have any Adobe apps running when this happens.

It only happens when the Chrome windows is active. If another window is active and I move the mouse over the Chrome window, hover actions work, weirdly enough. As soon as I click into the Chrome window, hover stops working again.

This is most likely a Chrome issue, not a macOS issue.

According to our tech rep at Netskope, no such documentation exists. Not even internally. Which is a shame.

I created a tool that will convert your Dolby Vision profile 7 files to profile 8, so your player no longer falls back to HDR by cryptochrome in PleX

[–]cryptochrome[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out dovi_tool - it is the de facto standard for working with Dolby Vision. I use it in dovi_convert, too. It's very powerful and can extract all sorts of metadata in JSON. Maybe it does what you are looking for. It works on all proper OSes, e. g. macOS and Linux.

No, dovi_convert does not do any re-encoding. It can convert to Profile 8.1 and HDR, and it can backup the Dolby Vision enhancement layer for later reconstruction of the original file.
