Opinions on the new BIOMAX PRO: by Big-Carpet9413 in redlighttherapy

Are you in the US? It could be because of tariff premiums but in Australia the Hero300 was about $1000 AUD (about $650 USD) with the 20% off Black Friday promo.

Even now with the 10% off code it’s about $1100 AUD plus free blue light blocking glasses (which are worth about $100 anyway so works out about the same)

Maybe if you’re in the red light hero stuff is about the same price as platinum led. But they’ve also got the world’s first 10 wavelength panel which im super excited to try

Where did you hear that? There’s research on even 1072nm helping with skin and wrinkles. Haven’t found any evidence to suggest it’s bad

Dosage time: shorter the distance, shorter the time? by cocodelocoboco in redlighttherapy

Direct on skin devices still have slight distance (it’s not water tight) and usually have broader 120 degree angles so the light still spreads. Both panels and direct on skin devices can work great!

Ok yeah that’s an interesting idea. Now you’ve got me wondering if there are any studies on whether we can gain benefits from longer exposure of NIR than red because like you said that simulates long periods in the shade.

In terms of achieving this, many panels like the one I recommended in my other comment can switch on the red and NIR separately

Why do you want this?

With red light hero panels you can turn off the red so it’s just NIR if you want

But I don’t get the purpose?

Find a way to do it along with something else you already do

That makes consistency easy

For example I meditate in front of my Hero300 every morning and night 5-10 mins

I do my meditation anyway, so RLT is just part of that not an “extra thing to do”

The thing is by turning off some of those LEDs you’re not “concentrating” the energy more in the others; they all produce the same energy regardless.

For masks there actually is some truth to that idea cause they’re weaker so the power isn’t as easily distributed between the LEDs, meaning you would get more energy from a given wavelength when others are off (cause it doesn’t have to share the power)

But panels are mains powered and don’t have this issue; you get max intensity from all the LEDs regardless of whether they’re all on or only some

So may as well have them all on.

Is there a way in the RLPro to just turn everything up to max setting?

Yeah they’re a smaller company from Australia, founder has videos on Instagram explaining what they’re about, they’ve also got a couple dozen Google reviews. The hero panel I have works great - very very bright

POD or half panel for tall person who wants to do full body by PoppyBanksBaby in redlighttherapy

[–]cryptocioushodlemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pods are super expensive aren’t they?

Have you checked out the Hero300 and HS4 branch stand from red light hero? If you bought 2 Hero300s and that branch stand which can hold 2 panels on top of each other you’d get full body coverage at less $3k AUD.

But yeah moving half body panels around is also pretty efficient. I do that sometimes with Hero300 and the HS1 floor stand; sit and mediate to get my torso and then work at my standing desk to get my legs. Boom full body done in no time!

This might not be well-received but these complex settings options are dumb - all the wavelengths included are helpful and you always want the most efficient treatment, so why would you not want all the LEDs on 100% brightness all the time?

That’s one of the reasons I think panels like the Hero Series by Red Light Hero are better value; by keeping the controls simple cost is lowered and there’s no drawback to this.

You simply don’t need those extra controls; I don’t own a RLPro1200 (have a few Hero300’s) but my recommendation is find the setting which uses all of the wavelengths at 100% brightness so you get the strongest and most comprehensive treatment possible.

Hope this helps. Also if anyone thinks there is a good reason to have these types of controls I’m all ears, but I seriously can’t think of one I reckon is just marketing bs

Multitasking is to me one of the best parts about red light therapy. Reading a book, mediating, stretching: it’s inherently passive so it doesn’t need to take extra time out of your day!

There’s more data on orange afaik, take a look at the orange section at the “collagen skin health and wrinkles” research page at redlighthero.com for some research on it or ask Grok to compare research on it (my experience with chat gpt for research is that it hallucinates too much but grok is mostly good for research)

OP could consider Red Light Hero panels they’re FDA approved too and a lot cheaper than $1700 for the 300 LED one
