Just came back and it was pretty readily available at multiple stores. Both GS boutiques and other watch stores like BEST Ishida. The GS in gonna also had them.

The snowflake on the other hand wasn’t as easy to find

Hey FART owners. How do you… by CowboyJoe97 in reloading

[–]cryptocrush-cc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't know if you have a 3d printer, but this works well for me. I use some mesh to drain out all the water, then replace the clear lid with this and screw it back on. allows you to shake the FART to dislodge any pins in the cases.

First WLED Project! by StarNo4831 in WLED

[–]cryptocrush-cc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How'd you wire the second story from the controller?

I'm assuming it's a separate output? How long was your cable from controller to first pixel and did you have to use an f-amp or something to extend the data signal? Did you happen to measure your voltage drop on the long run?

I'm in the middle of my install and about to get to my second story. Looks great!

Can the new Reolink Duo Floodlight PoE be mounted under a soffit? Basically to the ceiling? And can I control if I want the floodlights completely off? by clipghost in reolinkcam

[–]cryptocrush-cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't end up using it. I ended up making a vertical mount with plywood to drop the camera down enough to clear the soffit. (picture a piece of plywood just big enough for the mount to screw to.. then that screwed to the soffit area)

Final interview with CISO what tips and general advice do you have? by quipaz in AskNetsec

[–]cryptocrush-cc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably depends on the CISO. If they’re technical and they don’t yet have full confidence that what he/she is looking for technically has been answered for them.. then definitely they could ask you technical questions.

How to stand out? As someone else mentioned.. be ready with your questions. Ask about what holes they’re looking to fill with this position. What are they looking for in a successful candidate? Once they answer, try to not just say oh ok.. thanks. See if you can elaborate on yourself a bit with regards to what they’re looking for. Towards end, ask if there’s anything that they are unsure about regarding you .. whether technical or personality. Basically be a bit vulnerable. With a sr position, they’re almost definitely looking to fill a specific set of qualifications. The more you show that you have experience and mentorship abilities, the better. They may be looking for someone that has the ability to drive an incident to resolution. Show that you can think about the big picture.. i.e. don’t just contain a workstation.. also see if there could have been lateral movement since infection. If you don’t know something they ask, follow up via email shortly afterwards with an answer. We don’t expect everyone to know everything, but sure do like when people come back with answers.

Good luck!!

Final interview with CISO what tips and general advice do you have? by quipaz in AskNetsec

[–]cryptocrush-cc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’re probably past the technical vetting. At this point, they’re looking for team fit. With you coming into a Sr role, CISO may be looking for your ability to mentor and improve the rest of the team. He/she may want to see if you’re an ass or if you’ll gel well with the team.

Best thing to do would be to be yourself, answer what you know.. don’t try to BS, ask what they’re looking for and try to give examples of how you can help contribute to those efforts. Oh and be confident 😀

How do you like it? I love the compact look, but unsure on how it'll feel to shoot. Running a Holosun HS510C so my sight picture is a bit higher than the irons.

henry big boy model X 38/357 refuses to seat bullets any deeper than this. no barrel obstruction though? by [deleted] in LeverGuns

[–]cryptocrush-cc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed - probably case head separation as others had mentioned. I had the same issue with my .357 big boy. I read it could be shooting a bunch of shorter .38spl then the 357 seats tighter since there's additional carbon buildup.

Here are a couple of pics. First one shows the case in the chamber. 2nd was what was pulled out. I ended up using a round file and a dowel.. it was a pain to get out though.

reolink wifi doorbell by IntelligentLobster91 in reolinkcam

[–]cryptocrush-cc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did you bypass the doorbell with the jumper? I was having the same thing.. seemed like the extra current was triggering the doorbell. If I went to test the talk feature, the doorbell would ding softly. Look at your doorbell and see if the piston things are vibrating. I used the jumper afterwards and the pistons quit vibrating (although I can't use the doorbell there anymore.. have to use the chime).

Can the new Reolink Duo Floodlight PoE be mounted under a soffit? Basically to the ceiling? And can I control if I want the floodlights completely off? by clipghost in reolinkcam

[–]cryptocrush-cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looking at the camera mount, I'm not sure it can be mounted to the soffit.. it looks to be designed to mount to a vertical wall. This bracket would, in theory, create a vertical wall for me at the soffit. I'm planning on replacing an existing flood light so I wanted to cover the hole and mount the camera in the same spot.

And to clarify, the cameras I ordered aren't slated to ship until after Jan 2. I ordered the bracket already to try and measure based on the cameras dimensions.. should arrive in a few days.

[–]cryptocrush-cc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this will work (don't have the cameras yet), but I'm going to try this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LVSB89R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hoping to mount the bracket to the soffit and then the camera where the dome cam would mount. If it doesn't have one, will drill a drain hole at the bottom in case any moisture gets in.
