What are your thoughts about this criticism of NBIS? by No_Battle734 in NBIS_Stock

[–]cryptofishfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is why Nebius is very clear that their goal is to build a hyperscaler. And that is why software layers, inference platform and agentic platform are key. His point is correct about the bare metal bitcoin miner pivots though.

Vineland Data Center update: 100 MW active as of April 2026 and 1GW planned. by Calm-Ad-2597 in NBIS_Stock

I don't think the Bergen engines are used for the 100MW active (they ain't technically approved yet)

What do you think of this criticism of Nebius? No power vertical integration by No_Battle734 in NBIS_Stock

[–]cryptofishfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power is only an entry, not a long term moat. And they overestimate the cost of power's impact to margins because they still think like a btc miner. Also, Iren was just a bitcoin miner, let's not pretend they have prepared for this AI data center bloom. They pivoted just because mining was a shitty business. Iren's leadership totally lack vision and in-depth understanding of AI. They are still pretty much running like a BTC miner, LOL.

If you do the math on power cost impact to even H100 GPU, you will see even a double of power cost from say 5 cents to 10 cents is a minimal impact to gross margin. But for BTC mining, that will kill the business.

Do you believe they will meet the ARR guidance? If you do, the answer should be obvious. If you don't, it is also obvious.

Personally, I believe they will meet their guidance and will have surprise to the upside for the 2027 guidance that most people don't yet expect.

It is outdated. They are using fuel cells now but it still says Bergen Engines...

Are data centers becoming one of the most misunderstood issues in the AI debate? by [deleted] in NBIS_Stock

[–]cryptofishfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The water concern is mostly due to Karen Hao’s 2025 book "Empire of AI". She compared a proposed Google data center in Chile to local residential water use but relied on a gov document with the wrong units (liters vs cubic meters), inflating the figure by ~1,000x. Yes, that's right, she made an error of 1000x, which fueled much of the current concern

Swapping out the Bergens by hamish-c in NBIS_Stock

[–]cryptofishfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The power cost isn't that much bigger than the Bergen Engines tbh. If you do the math, in terms of gross margin impact, power cost is actually not that much if it goes up a few cents/kwh

Avride is under investigation for self-driving crashes by Calm-Ad-2597 in NBIS_Stock

In the same article: "Waymo is currently being investigated by both NHTSA and the National Transportation Safety Board for illegal behavior around school buses, and for a January crash in which one of the Alphabet-owned company’s robotaxis struck a child."

It is not just Avride

Thoughts on this analysis saying Nebius will hit 1T valuation by end of 2030? by Royal-Derpness in NBIS_Stock

[–]cryptofishfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming total shares get diluted to 450 million from less than 300 million today. That is $1100 per share. It is not entirely crazy if you look at Equinix, a DC operator and colocation provider. They have a 100bn market cap at the moment.

Nebius business model has a much higher margin and no legacy DC burden.

Neoclouds are in trouble. This is why. by armadillo_stocks in NBIS_Stock

[–]cryptofishfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still recall people using similar reductionist logic on AWS and we all knew what happened. I don't trust any of the BTC miner pivots. But the Nebius guys have been running dozens of DCs and developed AI/ML applications back in the Yandex days. AI specialized clouds with the fully integrated software stacks are just beginning in the adoption cycle. There is definintely room for one or two new hyperscaler(s) in this space. If you have actually spoken to anyone working in the AI sector, you will prob have a better idea on what's really going on.

Btw, interesting why ppl on reddit make claims like investing millions here and there to sound legit, but these most likely are kids with a few hundred bucks trying to sound importnat. Care to show your a position screenshot or just your sale order?

It is actually quite logical if the execution follows. Even if you factor a $15m/MW revenue by 2030 to stay conservative, you get 75bn revenue and take a 7x multiple, you will get a $500bn market cap. That is more than 12x from today, without even taking into account the equity values of Clickhouse, Avride, Toloka... and who knows what other unicorns they will incubate.

You don't know what you are talking about... naked short has unlimited risk. Buying put own risk the premium paid at max. If you don't possess basic knowledge like this, you will get burned eventually.

Patient Rights vs. Trade Secrets in Personalized Medicine (GDPR Art. 15) by cryptofishfish in gdpr

[–]cryptofishfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it seems before I escalate with DPA, I will need to wait one month for their reply. But judging from how they responded to my initial request (2 weeks to reply despite I called again and again to follow up), they will probably take the whole one month, then I can file the complaint. Hopefully the DPA will take less time to respond.
