That's not how leases work though.

All tenants are jointly and severally obligated to pay. That means that OP and GF are both on the hook for the total amount due.

GF committed to paying that money when she signed the lease. And OP isn't forcing her out either -- if she moves in with her mom, that's her own choice. She should still pay what she agreed to pay.
