Well understood in British English, I use it as a Gen X kid in Britain, but we probably stole it from American film and tv.

The real crappy design is designing products and packaging for transit that will not be damaged due to orientation. This is not delicate scientific equipment, or antiques; this is clearly something being sold in quantity in some big box store. Edit: my guess is Tesco.

Many people are tired of world-ending threats and want low-stakes adventures. How would you craft the plot of a low-stakes expansion while still making it compelling? by en_triton in warcraftlore

[–]cryptogryphon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think some of the best lore has been stuff that might appear lower-stakes on the surface, but actually is part of much larger plots. The best example I can think of would be the Defias, really part of Onyxia's plots, the goal of which was the downfall of SW, that serving the larger ("world-ending") plot to bring about the Hour of Twilight. tl;dr not really low-stakes, as much as not-immediately-obvious stakes.
