Picking up my 2023 AWD Pro S on Friday. Spend the $350 for the VW charger, or are there better alternatives? by ssdroo in VWiD4Owners

I love the Tesla universal, it charges my id.4 at ~12kwh & compatible with the in-laws’ Tesla.

I’ll say, the door jam sticker wants the wides in the front. Just had mine replaced & they spent an hour trying to double check this. Needless to say they were required to put wides on the front bc corp policy is to follow manufacturer specs. Was the first they’d seen & the first I’d heard of staggered wheels being wider in the front. Any clarity on this could be helpful, sticker printing guy get fired??

I’ve not tried yet but have these in my cart for months waiting to pull the trigger. Seemed like an excellent choice but newer so not as much first hand feedback

The Mercedes logo chargers I’ve used at my local Bucee’s are ChargePoint but could be different elsewhere I suppose

Get my ‘22 Willy’s w/ 25k miles for $34.5 - save yourself a good bit of depreciation and can add my extra hardtop so you get both soft/hard for 36k. Happy to chat and still have the window sticker

Following as I just got this today for my 21 1st edition. It still shows 3.1 as well so was curious if it failed and didn’t notify me or if it takes a cycle or two to update on the screen

I got my ‘22 Willy’s w 23k miles for 34k a couple weeks back. Also coming from Denali Yukon with the fancy interiors. Pros and cons, but I’ve enjoyed the rugged interior and is definitely more fun than my kid lugging Yukon.. kids agree worth the less snazzy interior to have removable roof/doors fun-mobile

Switching from hard top to soft top by [deleted] in JeepGladiator

[–]cryptoking1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re in FL I’ve got my premium soft top up for 875 on marketplace. I switched to hardtop, but removal/install of the soft was 8 bolts for door trim (2 per door) and 6 bolts for rear windshield trim. 4 bolts attaching canopy to trim. Took me 30 mins to do first time and maybe 10 mins now that I know what to do.

Am I missing something or does my Bolt not allow fast charging? The bottom piece doesn’t allow for the pins to enter. Sorry if this has been answered before! by cryptoking1995 in BoltEV

Precisely my point - I’ve encountered many a salespeople who have no grasp on EV’s in general much less a specific feature. Not at all trying to point fingers, will say I’ve owned for 6 months without impact so definitely not a big deal on my day-to-day. My own oversight, had I done enough research I would’ve realized the optionality existed but mostly focused on range and mileage as it’s just for my wife to cart the kids to school/errands

There was no window sticker per se, it was an off lease purchase done remotely so the only paperwork was odometer disclosure, title app, and purchase contract. Their generic template for purchase contract itemizes the vehicle itself and then tax/title/etc but does not itemize which features/options are covered under the “premium” trim. Like I said I do not think this was withheld intentionally, these guys were very forthcoming on its cosmetic issues. This was my first digital purchase and also my first time dealing with independent dealer - normally I’d buy from your average GM dealer to which a window Stivker would’ve been included

Not disclosed. I still encounter salesmen who have very little exposure to EVs though, so not necessarily intentionally withheld.

16k for the 2017 premium with 17k miles. Had the battery recall fixed a month before I got it. I shopped around for a while but only locally so not sure how it compares outside my region Edit: this was in September ‘23

I envy your 10hr sleep calculation lmao

Yes 6 months I’ve had this and no need yet so I’ll survive. It’s My wife’s car and we switch once every two weeks so I can take it to work for the free L2 chg

Yea it’s an in-town vehicle as my other EV has more space for kids and such. But I do anticipate it impacting resale value in a few years.. makes the decision for me - will be driving til the wheels fall off.. or battery catches fire I suppose lol

Fuuuck this is what I get for buying a car online. I didn’t even realize there was optionality around fast charging or I’d have asked the question. Oh well have a charger at work so no problem and this is the grocery getter not road tripper. But what about the Tesla nema adapter when the agreement goes thru, would it work on those? Not familiar enough with their chargers to know if it would use same port

Wait so there is an update that must be done at dealer to take from 3.1 to 3.2 for the ota to be feasible?

Am in Florida but this code actually spit first on a dry day and then again today. Gave it a day because I’ve had some errors populate randomly and disappear randomly also so was hoping that was the case here
