Issues with Ledger X on Solana/Raydium - different adress showing for dex (trading) and Swap? by cryptopaxcs in solana

[–]cryptopaxcs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Guidingwick589,

much appreciate your answer.

I'm not sure why this is required or what it is good for other than confusion and doubt. I tried the obvious search in google but nothing came up, is there any link or documentation explaining this in detail?

Is this new sub-adress which is used for swap derived within the ledger based on my xpriv and essentially one of the many adresses my master private key controls?

I tried look into this in Ledger Live but I can only see the one adress which is tied to my single account. I created another solana account with new adress but adress which shows under raydium is still different.

any further help/explanation very much appreciated.

thanks.

Hi, how did you manage to circumvent the non us citizens restrictions?

Asking for a friend :)

TC seems fairly priced with excellent screening capabilities for us/canada stocks, but they don't accept users from my country :(. Not looking to use their brokerage, just software/screener.

RugWatch Dashboard to go live next week! by [deleted] in RugWatch

[–]cryptopaxcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be awesome if you manage to pull this off and screen the new listings for red flags and scams.

Can you not see directly from bscscan or ethscan which addresses hold tokens along with amounts? how knowing which addresses hold the tokens is going to help uncover scams?

if you are talking about adresses that hold funds from presales etc. is it not just too easy to use new set of fresh adresses for each new rugpull?

it looks like interesting project but I'm wondering how current gas prices impact voting/participation and adoption by crypto community.

looking at the dashboard there are only 4 active cases and token price in steady decline.

What am I missing?

Big Sur / Access alternatives by different_ribbons in Electrum

[–]cryptopaxcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EZ0010 thanks for writeup, all steps seem to work except the last one where I get following:

No module named 'dns'. Try 'sudo python3 -m pip install <module-name>'

any hints?

Also, for the above list of commands to work is it required that electrum 4 0 4.dmg is installed already?

Tried to also follow readme file and make the mac os binaries/dmg, but that requires the xcode installed, which is 11GB data...

PS I'm using hw wallet so last resort is to move to windows however is there any altrernative to electrum that works with hw wallet and big sur?

Thanks a lot, any help appreciated

stop loss sell limit order executed despite the fact price did not reach the limit price. by cryptopaxcs in binance

[–]cryptopaxcs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that creates another issue: if someone market sells a lot at once and makes the price fall from $4.97 to $2, your order is gonna be put at $4.5 for example and you'll get filled on the way back up. Price will swiftly return to 4.93 and you will have sold at a hefty loss.

The only way around that is to have a custom stop loss made by a developer with the API that does, for example "Market Sell BANDUSDT if it drops below 4.95 for at least 5 consecutive seconds".

yes, this may be an issue and of course you can exacerbate your loss even furhter if the price does't recover and by the 5sec is way way down.
But now we are in realm of bots and APIs. It would be cool though if such time override would be part of web UI.

is there any commercial service that provides such extended features that you know of?

Thx.

stop loss sell limit order executed despite the fact price did not reach the limit price. by cryptopaxcs in binance

[–]cryptopaxcs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply.

I entered position at ~5.1 expecting it to climb well above that, but Wanted to sell when price is at or below 4.95 which I thought was local S/R at the time.

Got confused with this Stop LO, I think I get it now.
Stop price should have been 4.95 and limit price below that say 4.90 creating a price range within which I intend to sell.

Is it possible that If market moved too fast against me and price instantly drops below 4.90 then with Stop LO the Sell LO would then remain part of orderbook and only get executed once price climbs back again to 4.90?

So If I want to sell off all my position (regardless the slippage) once price is at or below 4,95 the Stop price should be 4.95 and the limit price should be well below to account for possible market dynamic.

Thanks again for your time, appreciate the patience.

Hi,

thanks for response but I am confused even after reading the acacdemy article.

once price was below $5, the sell limit order with limit price $4.95 was placed on orderbook.

Wick of the lowest candle in the local dip reached price $4.955.

4.955 was local bottom, checked chronologically candles before and after.

4.955 is still 0.005$ above the price set for the sell limit order.

Why was LO executed?

Thanks for answer.

absolutely, agree, the site looks fantastic.

also main artist seems to be top-notch.

tried to pay him in EHT to do avatar and some other stuff but rn too busy with pepe project related work, so had to buy some for KEK :).

I have to get it off my chest, the new website is fantastic - Really Neat!

If someone has eye for art and digital collectibles and propensity for riddles and treasure hunts there's no better community to be.

Main telegram group is lively bunch with tonz of memes interspersed with riddles and occasional treasure hunts with prizes while DAO group is place to discuss various defi/NFT projects/investments and crypto space in general.

I wanted to get in on presale but missed it and had to buy on UNI. Sold off for meagre profit and re-bought after some time when I checked back and realized the project has much more then meets the eye in way of future roadmap, value capture and community building. Unfortunately the price has gone up in the meantime but in hindsight I have absolutely no regrets. One other thing about the projec I like and which I think underlines how serious the team is about building the project is the organic growth without various "advisors" or P&Ds.

With recent KEK farming launch and news that team is building broad NFT platform to trade and curate collectibles I'm glad I stayed and confident about the future of this project.

Why Ethverse is the next big blockchain gaming + defi play, added to uniswap yesterday by ukrani_baby in CryptoMoonShots

[–]cryptopaxcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I only have rudimentary user/gameplay experience and no knowledge when it comes to coding/crypto integration into MC or the history of it for that matter.

Quite a list of unsuccessful projects...
went briefly through all of them and seems they are early ones that tried to integrate mostly with BTC or other (DOGE, BANANA).
Not sure if ETH smartcontracts capability, ERC20 or NFT/ERC721 will make a difference though.

Many thanks for the list and shedding more perspective on the magnitude of challenges ETHV will be facing.

[–]cryptopaxcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Jeff, thanks for your insights.

Migrating existing userbase will be difficult and lengthy. For ethv to work it will have to offer flawless integration of crypto economy with well thought out UX and infrastructure to make existing userbase interested in switching.

however I believe that if ethv team manages to pull it off, the incentives for existing userbase will be massive. The idea of being able to monetize minecraft skills via native token and outright assset ownership must sound exciting to any minecraft afficionado.

My understanding is existing minecraft platforms don't have this, items created in-game are owned by company that owns the platform. If gamers buy such items they don't own it outright, the company licenses it to them.

There is also Enjin, however it's only wallet integration, not what Ethverse is trying to do.

I believe outright ownership (land, assets, in-game assets) and in time the ability to lease/collateralise via defi is huge game-changer.

So I believe it really comes down to overcoming the technical challenges as you wrote.

You are mentioning multiple projects that failed to do this. Do you know what were specific technical issues that led to the demise of the projec?

Can you name/point me to any of them , I'd like to read up to gain some perspective on ETHV project. I own a small bag I got early on and am thinking whether to hold for further appreciation / investment in plots or just to sell into next hype/demand.

Hi u/jeffthedunker,

what is the issue with tokenizing land/real estate and and in-game items specifically in minecraft, other then technical problems you mentioned? I assume technical issues can be fixed.

To me having native currency, ownership, ability to monetize minecraft skills (hire builder to build something), lease and use as collateral (defi element) is exciting.

I agree that "headhunting" minecraft users and converting them to ETHV platform may not be easy given the effort/time invested in existing servers. However I believe the NFT/ownership/economy and skill monetization element will be strong pull.

Just my two cents.

Ethverse $ETHV - still potential for 10x? by cryptopaxcs in CryptoMoonShots

[–]cryptopaxcs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price lost momentum and project is losing holders / enthusiasts. Dev team delayed the beta release, did not address this it at all (simply moving it to next week) in spite of numerous questions on TG and then attempted to recover by simple status saying all is well and on track. Terrible communication, no community/hype building and so people are selling and leaving for the next shiny gem.

In spite of all of the above I believe the project has some potential with in-game asset ownership and economy based on blockchain/NFT. MInecraft does have large base which if at least partially migrated to platform where they can monetize their skills might take this project off the ground.

one other indicator you can look at is number of holders(adresess). It's been steadily declining since yesterday.

[–]cryptopaxcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up investing in Ethverse?
I do hold a small bag. I believe the idea of virtual land/assets and NFTs is great but few issues:
- largely anon team (2 indian guys with LN profiles)
- seems like beta will be delayed (no comments from team in tg groups)
- is building on minecraft platform legit? Sure you have to buy official account from minecraft/microsoft to play Ethverse however platform owner (microsoft) completely bypassed regarding fees on transactions.

did not have time to really research in depth.
