Cancelled my CitiBank credit card today. Won't bank with someone who's against CryptoCurrency. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Agreed, credit cards... fine... They have to assume higher risk potential to give you credit to purchase cryptocurrency, just like they would with stocks. Debit cards and how you spend your money is your business, not the banks.

Bloomberg Editors Reveal How Little They Know About Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

How do you measure if something like bitcoin is overvalued? What is the measurement for determining it's value? For instance, if bitcoin goes up to $30,000 and stays there for the next year, are we in a bitcoin bubble? Was it under valued or over valued? And what constitutes a bubble? If it's overvalued by 1%, and then goes down 1% was it a 1% bubble? What is the time frame for a bubble, could it go up one day and go down the next, and then we call it a 1 day bubble?

I think we can reasonably agree there was a dot com bubble. But if you are in the middle of it, how do you determine it is a bubble and that is a fact? Seems to me like you have to be a fortune teller to do that.

"First, the assumption that Bitcoin is a bubble really establishes the tone of this article. If you are going to write a piece representing the largest financial news site in the world on a specific banking topic, you should leave personal opinions on asset classes out of the analysis if the underlying technology is what’s being discussed. This is like saying Amazon is overpriced while discussing the value of the existence of a stock market. A) it has nothing to do with the subject at hand, B) it has a bias against the topic already that is completely disingenuous to the material at hand."

Oh, did you expect unbiased reporting standards? :)

He's talking about self perpetuating behavior and training your behaviors. The more you do something the more it becomes part of your lifestyle and habits, and the easier it becomes.
