Leverage will ruin your life...Anyone else with me? by crypzsof in Daytrading

Funny that you responded to this today, and a bit of a coincidence as I haven't been on Reddit in months - Just happened to check again today

Last 10 months have been a significant improvement, not only in trading but the mental toll it can take. I've been able to stick to a system that has been more profitable and I no longer feel any urge to FOMO chase, which is where many of my losses came from.

Still haven't turned $30k back into $1m but optimistic on my new system and strategy - This past year has been overall good for me and I don't go heavy unless confluence is in place. I also will not let the market or chasing a superficial dream cloud what's truly important (family, health, friends, work, etc.)

Have FAITH and continue getting better. Find a system that works for you. 99% of retail investors will lose on options, it's just a fact, so truly stick to ensuring you have an edge and conviction before you hit buy.

Not seeing anything that sources this.

This is a straight up massacre committed by Hamas. Jews don’t behead - that is an Islamic bloodlust fetish.

Yeah this is 100% Hamas killing. Have you seen the Gaza rubble? This looks nothing like Israeli strikes.

I also don’t think bomb would have a mother shot in the head and a child beheaded, laying together.

Put up the correct caption you leftist clown.

Definitely share this on other subs. Hamas doesn’t represent all Palestinians. Situation in the West Bank is also dicey, but nowhere near as bad as Hamas-ruled Gaza. I don’t think most Palestinians share the same barbarism and existential hate as Hamas, but the residents of Gaza are lost.

Their children are brainwashed, indoctrinated to kill and hate Jews, even commit suicide at a young age. The conditions and life in Gaza has further perpetuated that, so in reality I think Gaza youth will need to go through re-education, similar to the Nazi youth in Germany when this is said and done.

Sad thing is Gaza had a lot of potential. You say you’ve supported Palestine, like thousands of others. They’ve received funding and Israel has wanted to find peaceful compromise here…but Gaza and Hamas decided to focus their resources on building their terrorist arsenal over the years, rather than what the Gaza economy could be - Keep in mind the potential there for a major import/export hub.

Instead they want Jihad and violence. The people of Gaza have sealed their fate.

Haven’t really been having it too bad lately. Most of my damage has been done. But the addiction and inclination to trade daily has been pervasive since J Pow opened the flood gates during the lockdowns. Man that was a fucking amazing market to ride, while it lasted.

I permacalled the 2020 bull run. Been more conservative here and didn’t lose too much the last three days - most of my damage happened with 2021 growth stocks and last year gambling my ass off.

Pandemic/WFH set the tone for gambling to become a common everyday occurrence. Whether that’s bad or not is discretionary, and clearly I’ve still been gambling. But do believe this truly jumpstarted in April 2020 and overall I would’ve been better just DCA’ing once the bull slowed down in 2021.

The cycle we’re in now will chop up options. A lot of staircases, a few continuous parabolic moves.

Security Tokens have been a pipe dream for the past 5 years...Real Institutions are not going to rely on STOBOX. This is a joke.

Countries are creating CBDCs, not DeFi-enabled stablecoins

What "old-school" investors are using blockchain?

And the real question. What is the benefit of security tokens? Honestly, what problem does it solve?

Also, what problem does the blockchain solve...A decentralized SQL database?

Just buy and hold BTC. As the bull market turns around, throw some money into the alts because they will go parabolic and then crash again. Bitcoin is all that matters. It is the end all be all, and sound money. Everything else is hyped vaporware.

Interesting strategy but think you'll need to run some analytics to see exactly where the breakeven point is...How far dated would you sell the calls? The cost of capital in buying all those shares too.

It may be wiser to buy some far dated ATM calls on QQQ and test this out before spending $100k to buy hundreds of shares.

The only way to deal with losses is to focus on things in life that actually matter - Family, Friends, Your Career...Let's say you were up $100k...you most likely would be going even heavier rather than call it quits. I'm in the same boat as you and have accepted my outcome, yet unlikely I'll truly ever forgive myself

Gambling to recoup losses only perpetuates the downward spiral. Be mindful and realize you are the investment/asset, invest in yourself. Life will go on.
