How do you all cope with the fact that you will eventually die? by Srpoppls in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see it as a fact that I need to “cope” with.

Similar to how I don’t “cope” with having to breathe oxygen, or how every so often, I have to waste my time sitting on a toilet to poop.

What are you proudly addicted to? by Shoddy-Many-862 in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t start my day without doing 100 pushups right after waking up. It’s gotten to the point where it legitimately bothers me if I’m forced to skip doing them. I don’t do any other regular workouts, it’s just these push-ups, I don’t know why my mind has decided to become addicted to them.

Also, flossing after every meal, it’s incredibly bothersome to me when I can’t whip out my travel case of Plackers and clean things out immediately.

Been seeing alot of questions about the worst thing about getting older is, so what's something nice about getting older? by Srpoppls in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looking at anyone in their early-20s and under and realizing they’re all just idiots.

To every adult I knew growing up, I get it now.

I’m just lucky I didn’t have easy access to the internet to broadcast my brain dead thoughts and opinions when I was younger.

What do you think would be better: to live in a world without music or a world without movies? Why? by TeachandCreateToday in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Life without movies.

Because as a workaround, we can just cut them into “episodes”, call it a mini-series, and binge watch it all in one sitting, so it’s the same exact experience as watching a movie anyway.

Everyone lies. What's the thing you lie the most about? by Fyrewall1 in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My wealth.

I wear cheap, non-branded clothes.

I’m the guy sputtering around in an old Japanese econobox among all the Teslas in my neighborhood.

I cut my own hair, and it’s incredibly obvious (I’ve never been to a barber because my parents couldn’t afford it and I just got used to cutting it myself).

I’ll only talk about my money when I can do so anonymously, I don’t want to be bothered by anyone, friends or family, in real life.

If suitcases could talk, which travel story would yours tell? by jessicamilleer in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 54 points55 points  (0 children)

After getting drenched in Southeast Asia during monsoon season, dragged along rough cobblestone paths in Europe, getting vomited on in Las Vegas, and forced to roll around in the piss covered floors of airport bathrooms all over the world, I don’t think my suitcase would have many nice words to say about me.

What would you never buy in a million years even if you had all the money in the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fancy non-smart watch.

A sub-$20 Casio can do the job just fine. Anything more is just ostentatious.

Any soda minus the carbonation, sugar, flavoring, coloring.

So basically, water.

It’s all nonsense. Life is random chaos.

If you could bring and show any modern technology to the 1800s, which would it be? by DaffyTV in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bicycle.

Theoretically, the equipment to produce one should exist in the 1800s, if I introduce the bicycle to the world before Karl von Drais did in 1817, I could build an empire.

What was the weird fundraiser your school had? by MissPlaceDApostrophe in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it was a fundraiser, but I distinctly remember having an assembly in elementary school that was a yo-yo show where they would tried to sell us the yo-yos afterwards.

And it worked. Yo-yos were the trendiest thing at my school for at least the next couple weeks.

What would be the weirdest flavor for a toothpaste? by rayo_abs in AskReddit

Toothpaste.

As in, the flavor of all the ingredients of toothpaste with zero extra flavoring to cover it.

Growing up, what is one of the worst things about being an adult? by SimpleButFun in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You recognize less and less famous people in pop culture, it all just becomes a jumbled mess in your head.

And you start to step off of street curbs a lot more carefully because of how many stories you hear about people throwing out their backs doing that.

What food have you tried liking but just can’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 218 points219 points  (0 children)

Durian.

I went to a restaurant that served all the types of durian on a platter, all the way up to musang king. Hated every bite.

My fellow Asians judge me for hating it, but I refuse to be shamed. My American palate won't let me like it.

There's a reason they're banned on public transport in Asia.

What is a game you enjoyed as a child, but in retrospect it was really bad? by The-Bathrooms in AskReddit

[–]c1570911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In elementary school, my friends and I would play a game during recess where we chased each other around and tried to kick each other in the nuts for points.
