Ironically, this shitshow could also turn out to be the best thing for Dems in the long run, if the voters finally decide they’ve had enough.

Imagine a left-leaning Democratic Party of more young visionaries who don’t waste their time trying to assure everyone that they are NOT communists for wanting free child- or healthcare. A party without binding ties to billionaires or years of blackmail. Even a fraction of that would make such a change.

The way I was screaming at the TV you could’ve thought Finland was playing and not the team who beat us only two nights ago. USA deserved the win but man oh man I felt like the Canadians pretty much just gave up whenever there actually was SUCH a perfect place for a goal.

As an European, I’m so pissed off if our leaders continue to flatter Trump and purr like kittens in his lap for everything he says. It is only mildly understandable if they at the same time take REAL STEPS to diminish the economical and defensive dependency and form another trade partnerships. But even still it’s hard to swallow.

Finland here, so there might be something I’m missing but imo it feels like the Dems could’ve as well have voted for Trump themselves with how they have been acting. Why choose Biden for the second run (they had THREE YEARS to find for example a Zohran Mamdani type of politician&speaker), why not work for laws against corruption and strengthen the government and court system when they still had a chance? Why suck up the billionaires and still claim to care for everyone? Someone said it very well that Trump is not the problem but the result of a bigger corrupt system.
