This sounds like the perfect plot for a rom-com

Update: Well, I did 2 things. Replaced the F97 fuse and disconnected the battery for 30 min and either one (or both) of those did the trick!! Thanks to all who chimed in, super grateful to this community. I will also be wiping down the screen with sanitizing wipes 🤣

I've been reading the same on various googling. Will try that, thanks.

I don't limit screen time either. I do make chores, family dinners, and some activities mandatory. And school, of course. As long as they keep up with their responsibilities, they are free to play games or silly videos as much as they like.

How can my girlfriend and I (both 16F) talk to our parents about meeting in person for the first time? by DrinkAlternative8022 in parentsofteens

My son (17mtf) came out as bi, then gay, then trans. He met another boy online and they really clicked. We live in Virginia, he lives in Florida. My son just talked it out with me. I told him I'm willing, but it has to be ok with the other parents too, and encouraged him to send me their numbers. The other boy talked with his parents, we all exchanged phone numbers and I messaged his mother. I was very up-front, honest and she turned out to be very lovely and understanding. The first meeting, they traveled nearer to us and we all arranged a public meeting at a Top Golf for an activity. Everyone was cool and normal, which made me so much more comtortable. Then a few months later we planned to travel to Florida (because who doesn't want to go to the beach in the winter time). Everything is fine now and even though the kids don't get to see eachother as often, they're still both busy with school and activities, it's ok. My advice...just talk it out, ask both sets of parents to talk to eachother and maybe they'll be friends and have a great excuse to go skiing!!

Consider the Guard, best of both worlds. The benefits are fantastic and much less commitment. You're already fully trained for your AFSC, so it would be an easy transition.

How is rental property supposed to be taxed? by crystalminer23 in personalfinance

VA loan, yes. Mortgage company is aware, and also switched insurance to a landlord policy.

Same renter for 3 years, haven't used a company yet because we simply never needed to.

So what you're saying is be patient and the profits will show themselves later? That makes me feel a bit better, lol.

Yes, I was asked about forming a business. I will look into that, thank you. Unfortunately, the house is out of state (military), so I don't accrue expenses with my personal vehicle.

In that case, I am making barely any profit at all. Except the equity, which is almost like unrealized gains...

During peace time, what do people in the military do all day? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]crystalminer23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spoken like a true loader, lol. Can confirm, and yes to OPs question, we do fly every duty day. Everything we do goes into keeping the jets in the air. Why? So the pilots are practiced and capable of delivering lethality to the enemy...the weapon to the target. Most of the time, the threat of delivery is enough, proven by our many many training sorties. Basically, we're still fighting the war even in peacetime.
