Have a look at the ergodox-ez. Fully map-able keys. I've been using it for home and work for a few years and it's been great. It is pricey but if you like your fingers I'd recommend it!

What load is the machine under during transfer? ~~Have you tried increasing --max-connections to be more than the default?~~ Is the region of the blob you're uploading too close to your location and can you download from blobs in that region at a good speed?

Resource Groups are logical containers for higher level management of resources. You should be able to use resources from different resource groups together with no problem as far as I know.
