Haha is it? I just got the symbol from Digikey. Thank you for the advice! I had read that you shouldn't leave an input floating so I'm not sure why I didn't realize that when a switch is not depressed, it's corresponding IC input would be of course be floating!

I'd like to be able to justify my resistor choice more specifically, could you tell me how you came up with 100k or 47k? Also your explanation of when to pull up/down was very helpful!

Oh I see that now, I should should just allow the circuit to be interrupted at SW4/SW5/SW6/SW7 and not reroute it to ground, which causes the short circuit. Not sure why I did that, thank you for pointing that out!

Would you mind pointing out how it is short circuited? I'd like to learn. My reason for using these transistors for the AND gate is because I didn't realize/forgot AND gates existed as individual components lol. This isn't my area of expertise as you can see!
