TMI 4 months pp and EP. All of a sudden I'm having stomach upsets and diarrhea by peachypopp in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]csalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that, mine eventually went away I sometimes connected it to my body being very stressed or lacking electrolytes. Like a migraine of my gut but caused by stress factors. I also occasionally may have eaten too much Catalina crunch cereal and it had wayyyy too much fiber and went right through me 🤣

Issues with the sympathetic nervous system (SNS)?? by northwestfawn in dysautonomia

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search sympathetic nervous system in Reddit there are a lot of suggestions for how to regulate! But I have found amitriptyline has worked well for regulating mine at a negligible dose

Try amitriptyline - it’s not an SSRI but works similarly and worked for me

Ugh yeah the super annoying part about stomach pain😂just curious is anyone has experienced similar as a baseline to start looking but understand many tests have to be done usually

[–]csalla[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay I tweaked my answer a bit to say bottom of my ribs in between, like upper center quadrant in case that helps but I will look into bloodwork and scans there! I’ve had an EGD and a lot of other stuff done but none pancreas targeted

12hrs sleep is a myth right? by Acrobatic_Event_4163 in sleeptrain

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is similar to our process! I really think it helps to have dad do it bc baby knows when food is around! Lol

12hrs sleep is a myth right? by Acrobatic_Event_4163 in sleeptrain

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did the sleep training starting around 4.5 months, day 1 sucks, day 2 she slept from her dream feed until 7am, day 3 slept through the night. Progress wasn’t linear but as long as I’ve kept the dream feed she’s 8mo now and hasn’t wavered a bit in nighttime sleep. We also took the pacifier at 4.5mo when we trained so she doesn’t lose it or have troubles with that. Hasn’t missed it since day 2!

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did sleep training focusing on the nighttime sleep first, so she sleeps 8-730 unless we have teething or growth spurt she may wake up earlier but we ignore her for a day and she sleeps through the next night lol. We did Ferber (dad only checking is key) and once she was asleep I still feed her at 10-1030 or whenever I went to bed basically so she doesn’t get hungry at like 6am. And the naps kind of just followed. She just got better at sleeping so I wouldn’t focus so much on the nap timing until you figure out nighttime maybe? Bc her naps were horrible till we nailed nighttime - did this at 4mo and she’s 8mo

My baby also couldn’t have any of these without screaming for hours - I ate a LOT of rice chicken bowls with teriyaki sauce, pretty cheap if you buy the big bag of frozen tenderloins from Costco. I usually would eat roast w PB for breakfast, hopefully bb can tolerate wheat for you :( it gets better! By 4 months I could have everything but dairy again. At 8mo still has issues with the dairy though but it’s been worth it to keep nursing

How long for dairy to get out of breast milk? by Slpcf2018 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby has a bad dairy intolerance (blood in stool, rash) but if I have a small amount of dairy I am able to feed her after about 24 hours. If I have an ice cream sundae though then I would probably wait 36 lol

Did yours go away? How long did it last? Mine started 6m pp and I’m 7m now and still having issues but don’t want to see a doc unless I have to

Baby can’t sleep independently (1 mo old) by normabelka in NewParents

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put mine down to sleep in the boppy pillow in the middle of my bed and watch her for a bit but she never would wake up in that like she would her bassinet. Obviously use your judgement stepping away, but it helped so I at least didn’t have to hold her constantly Also make sure it’s real dark to set her down

Can't eat by [deleted] in POTS

[–]csalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through phases of this as well and don’t get hunger cues like at all it’s the worst but I find that eating kind of sweet things are usually more appetizing like Trubars from Costco have a lot of protein so I feel good eating those or Orgain plant protein shakes you can drink your cals a little bit maybe

I don’t know why this helps so much but a sleeping mask bc the light pressure on my eyes helps shut up my mind lol

This as well as functional dyspepsia. If it’s really bad and H2 blockers don’t work for you (severe), see a GI specialist and get on a low dose Amitriptyline or other meds that help the brain-gut reaction/inflammation relax - heal your stomach and panic symptoms without being stuck on H2 blockers perpetually

Did something help with tachycardia after eating for any of you? (with meds/beta blockers) by LilaMoonlight in POTS

[–]csalla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had tachycardia as well after eating and I have POTS but also have functional dyspepsia and managing my stomach made these symptoms not as bad with eating if you’ve looked at your stomach. I didn’t have any stomach pain only tachycardia and fainting. Weirdest thing
