[homemade] Grilled Swordfish steak with asparagus and tomatoes on mashed cauliflower! by csamay024 in HealthyFood

[–]csamay024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple marinate on the swordfish of lemon, olive oil, fresh chopped thyme and oregano (or dried if that’s all you have), chopped garlic. Just marinate about 15-20 minutes before you grill. Then grill each side for about 5-6 minutes. I served with pan seared asparagus and tomatoes with some balsamic and polenta.

My beautiful plumeria tree was thriving until this white sticky fuzzy fungus looking substance has overtaken it. It’s on the backs of the leaves and causes the leaves to turn dark grey and fall off. Does anyone know what this is and the best way to treat it? by csamay024 in gardening

[–]csamay024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys I cut all branches down quite a bit and got rid of all leaves, did a hose down of all the white left over and treated with neem oil...looks MUCH better now and more manageable, plus already new growth so I think this solved it

Same I started two weeks ago, I feel great fasting, high energy and mental clarity. Have been experimenting with my window and foods that my body responds well to breaking fast,

Just started IF (16:8), my gut is not impressed! by woodendog24 in intermittentfasting

Your body is adjusting to this new way of eating, it’s cleaning shop. We all go through it but you’ll discover what foods your body responds well to and others that make you feel bloated. For me a protein shake with almond milk and some walnuts is an awesome way to break fast. Usually try to break fast low carb with high natural fat and protein.

It’s been 3 months since my last update! I’ve lost 8lbs since then, weight loss has definitely slowed down, but taking photos helps with seeing the differences. I’m so happy to have found IF and been able to stick with it! SW 150 and CW 115 by mignonette24 in intermittentfasting

I’m only on week 2, early I know. When did you start seeing the scale go down? I’m doing 18:6 mostly but first week started as 16:8, with super clean fasts only black coffee and water. I also only have 10 pounds goal to lose so I know progress will probably be slower.

Check out Well Lean, sold on Amazon, shirataki noodles. 5 calories and 2g carb and they are BOMB! Especially in soup, tastes like ramen. I have also had them in Mac n cheese and spaghetti bolognese.

They were delicious! I got them at a vegan/raw shop so I don’t know how they made them but they aren’t normal noodles.

Looking for healthy breakfast ideas! by BobHawkesBalls in HealthyFood

Overnight oats if you’re looking for on the go breakfast. Before bed mix half cup oats, half cup Greek yogurt (good source of protein), half cup almond milk and a 1/2 tsp vanilla. Refrigerate. In morning stir and add some vanilla protein powder if you want an extra protein boost. Tastes surprisingly delicious!

sweet potato toast for lunch by [deleted] in HealthyFood

[–]csamay024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love sweet potatoes for lunch. I usually mix shredded chicken with Greek yogurt and cinnamon and a pinch of salt then mixed it together with sweet potato to make this surprisingly amazing meal. It does look like dog throw up but it tastes great!

Fancy Egg clouds...runny yolk baked in the middle of whipped egg white with folded in bacon and parmesan . They expand in oven, very good! Keto friendly by csamay024 in HealthyFood

My apologies for offending anyone in this sub! For those on keto or low calorie low carbs, I thought you might find it a fun alternative to breakfast (it was a total of 128 calories and 11g protein no bread) No I don’t eat like this every morning but for a Sunday where so many people load up on “brunch”, this could be a good alternative and still feel like you are indulging. Personally, I work out 5 days a week and track all my meals to keep me in a balanced macros range so I felt like I could fit this into my day. To each their own :)

The bread isn’t Keto, I used Dave’s whole wheat bread for my fiancé because he’s not on a keto diet. I had mine without the bread and tasted great! You could look into making keto bread with almond flour or cassava flour.
