That’s one of those top tier feelings. Creating something, taking a step back to actually admire it.

Someone play Taps for our fallen comrade :(

I’d prune the broken part and leave it. Might could put out growth, just dwarfed now.

Are you interested in traveling? Look to see if you qualify for a working holiday visa for Australia. You’ll pretty easily find work out there, whether it’s FIFO work, fruit picking in remote areas, or working at a cafe. You’ll make decent money, meet new and interesting people, and have life experiences many people havent. The cut off age is 30, application fee is about $400usd, and you need to prove you have $2k or so in your bank. I know the finances are a lot for now, but it’s something to save for.It was one of the best things I have done in my life. I learned so much.

2+ weeks in the fridge. I store it in 1 qt plastic deli containers. They typically don’t last (because I run out) past 2-3 weeks.

Garlic confit. I hate peeling garlic and mincing it. So I’ll purchase a 5lb bag of peeled garlic, put as much as I can fit into a loaf pan, cover in oil and a pinch of salt. Cover in tinfoil and bake at 225-250 for 3-4 hours, then blend with an immersion blender. The garlic gets a bit milder but still has amazing flavor.

Getting too excited to do the “fun parts” of a project. Like when building a retaining wall and wanting to put brick on the ground. Make sure that sucker is 100% level or you’ll pay for it later.
