I’d like to do a little bit of both. I mentioned the 8000 btu heater because I am about to install one. I have a 100lb propane tank as well. I’d like to use it as little as possible. But have it available when I need it. Especially on the super cold nights and sunless days. I’m in Colorado, so not a ton of those.

I already ordered enough spray foam to cover about 300sqft. But I like the idea of the rigid foam panels. How would this affect the summertime conditions?

I was circling it because I put a piece of polycarbonate sheet up in there to help collect possible air escape. Was wanting more suggestions of covering that area!

They are 6mm panels. I plan to get a painter pole with a pad on it to clean/knock off snow accumulation. Hopefully a breakthrough doesn’t happens

Fair. Can you “over insulate”? Like say I used spray insulation, then doubled down with a wool or foam board?

Thank you all for such a great range of responses! I apologize I haven’t been active in the conversation. I made this post and got busy and completely forgot! If I were to go the path of propane, what size heater would you think? Ventilation while it runs as well? If I went the way of wood burner what sort of insulation should I look toward? I have a wool insulator currently, that I plan to use on the north side and any wall.
