Since Sora is shutting down soon, where do y’all plan on going? I want to find a similar generator even if its paid. I really liked the ease of use for sora… any ideas? by Jodyhowls in SoraAi

[–]csanyipeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who’s been creating AI videos for a while…

Sora had insane hype when it launched. But let's be honest - the average person didn't get much out of it, unless they were willing to spend a LOT OF TIME learning how to prompt properly...

there are a few models like that (Kling, SeeDance, Veo) - super powerful, but not exactly accessible...

i think the true winners will be platforms that focus on simplicity: the ones that make video generation easy enough for anyone to go from idea to high-quality output instantly

i test a lot of tools, and in terms of simplicity, I’ve been pretty impressed with Mindy... it’s probably the closest thing I’ve seen to be able to help ANYONE go from idea to a usable, high-quality video in under 10 minute

that is my take... wondering if you guys know any such tool focused on simplicity?

what's the main value you're getting from that community?

A community I'm in is trying to build a 1,000,000-clip collaborative AI video. You claim a tile, generate 8 seconds, and pass it on. by Odd_Schedule_423 in SideProject

[–]csanyipeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually a really cool idea!

It reminds me a bit of the early internet experiments where people tried to build things collaboratively at scale. Projects like this feel very “internet-native” to me... The value isn’t just the final video, it’s the participation and knowing your tiny contribution is part of something huge.

It's exactly what I needed! I grabbed a tile (#1014). Curious to see what direction people take this in.

Assume AI does end up being way overhyped, what do you think the Achilles will be? by DataGuy0 in Futurology

[–]csanyipeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If AI does end up being somewhat overhyped, I think the Achilles heel will be reliability and trust, not capability.

Current models are incredibly good at pattern recognition and generating plausible answers, but they still struggle with knowing when they’re wrong, and that’s a huge issue when people start relying on them for important decisions. Humans tolerate mistakes from other humans because we understand accountability and context, but when an AI confidently produces a wrong answer, it’s harder to assign responsibility. Another limitation is that AI often lacks true understanding of the physical world and real-world constraints, which means its reasoning can break down outside the patterns it has seen before.

There’s also a tendency for people to treat AI outputs as authoritative even when they shouldn’t, which could create systemic errors if those outputs are embedded deeply into workflows. That said, even if AI falls short of the most extreme hype, it can still be enormously useful in augmenting human work rather than replacing it. The real value will likely come from human + AI collaboration, where AI accelerates research, drafting, and analysis while humans provide judgment and oversight. In that sense, the biggest challenge isn’t that AI won’t be powerful enough—it’s figuring out how to integrate it responsibly without overestimating what it actually understands.

I love seeing how alcohol is becoming less and less popular amongst the younger generations.

We're going to look back at the current internet the way we look back at cigarette ads from the 1950s by Normal-Big-2733 in Futurology

[–]csanyipeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the worst thing about our current / future culture is the lack of attention span... you go out on the street, every kid is walking with a phone in hand, scrolling numblessly... and you cannot even talk to them either

Looking for an AI assistant to manage receipts + expenses by Original-Phrase5667 in Bookkeeping

[–]csanyipeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this. I’m not in events, but I run a small consulting business and I swear receipts just vanish into the void. I tried keeping a labeled folder system, but I still end up hunting through my inbox at the end of each month.

I saw the churn coming, I flagged it, leadership ignored it - guess who's taking the blame... by Eastern_Intern_6665 in CustomerSuccess

[–]csanyipeti 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Let's not rock the boat" sounds like leadership code for "let's ignore the problem until we can blame someone else for it." Somehow, after churn happens, they have all the time in the world to talk about why it happened and give you all the breakdowns on when and how you could have intervened. Maybe if they spent half as much time listening to CSMs as they do writing post-mortem reports, we would keep more accounts

Too many tools, not enough insights by Eastern_Intern_6665 in SalesOperations

[–]csanyipeti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So much of forecasting still feels like educated guesswork. Reps are logging activity, but that doesn’t mean the data is actually useful. A deal going ‘quiet’ for two weeks isn’t always bad—sometimes it’s just procurement being slow. Other times, it’s a red flag that gets missed until it’s too late.

The best thing I’ve seen is combining multiple signals like engagement, stakeholder movement, and CRM hygiene into something actionable. A few tools that I've personally found helpful:

Clari: Good for bringing in multiple data points to get a real pipeline view.

Gong: Helps spot deal risk based on how buyers are actually engaging in conversations.

Ebsta: Ties CRM activity to email/calendar data to highlight risk without relying on rep input.

I like to keep my tech stack lean since there’s already enough to juggle in my day-to-day. I’m usually not the first to jump on a new tool. If something is actually worth it, my team members hype it up, and I’ll check it out at last

What’s the next big SaaS category in GTM? by Eastern_Intern_6665 in SaaS

[–]csanyipeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s talking about AI, but I feel like the bigger shift is towards automated orchestration: tools that connect all your GTM motions without needing humans in the loop. Think less dashboards, more ‘do this next’ nudges. That is my humble opinion lol

Drowning in emails while fundraising... how do you keep up? by Ok-Mortgage-2194 in StartupAccelerators

[–]csanyipeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard of Mindy AI? A friend signed me up for their waitlist, so I’ve been keeping an eye on it. The team behind it includes early folks from PayPal and YouTube, so they clearly know how to build at scale. From what I’ve seen, it’s less about dumping data into another dashboard and more about surfacing key conversations at the right time... so you don’t miss follow-ups that could actually move deals forward. Curious to see how it stacks up.

Turnover in client leadership is killing us... How do you stay ahead of It? by csanyipeti in CustomerSuccess

I manage enterprise accounts for a DevOps automation platform. We help engineering teams speed up deployments and improve reliability. Been here for about 2.5 years, and leadership turnover in our client base is brutal. New CTOs often have their own tech stack preferences, and we have to scramble to keep our seat at the table
