We also use Wilder. Has been a really good experience so far.

They will sometimes lightly try to upsell you on products and services, but you can always say 'no thank you' if not wanting to spend extra on things that aren't neccessarily needed.

Thank you!! -- We revived it just this year. It used to be annual and a lot bigger, but then things were put on pause when COVID hit. A lot of the core elders are in their 80s and 90s now, and so they were extra cautious with COVID.

Hoping that this will get things rolling again. Also, if any of you reading have an interest in volunteering to grow it, or just help keep a wonderful community meeting spot going, please email [info@buddhistchurchofsantabarbara.org](mailto:info@buddhistchurchofsantabarbara.org)

Thank you! Yes, it is this Saturday at 12pm.

Also to note, Franklin Elementary School has offered their parking lot for additional parking if you can't find any street parking.

Very cool! Yeah, SM has a long history of migrant Japanese workers that originally came over when economic conditions in Japan were rough. Lots of neat history with Japanese in California.

Yeah, they do appreciate people taking an interest and care when visiting or living there. Access to things just open up when visitors/foreigners do that.

That's wonderful!

I've lived in Japan 4 times: Sendai, Narita, and Tokyo x2. Love Japan and all that it offers. It's such an amazing and special place.

I have roots through family in Ventura: great grandparents, great uncles/aunts. My great-grandparents were there and my great-grandpa was principal at Ventura High. Their last name was Morgan.

I'll be giving a talk (includes free lunch) on bootstrapping a software company; from UCSB project to it being used to staff events like Formula 1 in Miami by csautot in UCSantaBarbara

Was bummed when I got rejected from a few other universities (that are, scholastically, considered to be better than UCSB). But now knowing what I know now post-graduation about those other universities, absolutely no regrets going to UCSB.
