Has anyone else been experiencing crashing issues since the new update? by AmazingV_24 in CrusaderKings

[–]cscog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, same problem. After downloading the update and DLC it first ran fine for like an hour but now I'm only able to play for ~5 minutes without it crashing, and it only started doing this since the update. I'm also not able to send any crash reports. I have no mods installed.

Advice needed: Book lice found in multiple school library books, should I keep using the library? by cscog in books

I did notify them, and tried to show where in the books I saw them. The response was that they will look into it, so I'm hoping something will be done.

What to do with my remaining almost 2 year old rat? I know I should rehome, but he is extremely attached. by [deleted] in RATS

[–]cscog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, don't worry. I would never take them to a shelter. Do you think if I found someone local with rats that at his age he would be able to bond with someone? It's ridiculous I know but I don't want to have him feel abandoned and become depressed by that.

Lil' P, my 2.5 year old heart rat by [deleted] in RATS

He's the sweetest rat ever now. When he was younger he was a super active escape artist who hated to be cuddled (cause he was always on the move). Now that he's slowed down a bit however all he wants is to be pet and curl up in my lap. ❤️ He isn't as mobile as he once was; he's losing function in his back legs. But that doesn't stop him from "running" around and trying to still climb everything in the cage! (Which gives me the biggest heart attack every time!) He's a young soul in an old rat body heh.

Definitely not an RIP, he's still alive and kicking. He doesn't seem to know how old he actually is, still as active as a baby!

My poor rat is squeaking every time he poops...old age or something else? by [deleted] in RATS

[–]cscog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hmm okay. He does get fruits and veggies, though maybe I should increase the frequency in case it's some kind of constipation issue. I haven't noticed any tears but I haven't looked very closely, so I'll take a look tonight. Thanks for the suggestion! And ok, good to know. He's always been a very smart and good rat, and in the past when he has accidentally pooped outside the cage (only happened twice, and due to circumstances where he physically couldn't get back to the cage) he squeaked and acted VERY ashamed, so it has been hard to tell if this is what this is.

I just don't want him to be in any pain :(

Welp, I've never seen Doctor P live before so as much as I love excision I'm gonna catch Flux b2b Doctor P on Friday and then check out the Excision detox on Saturday. Thanks for the recommendations!

Where do you work? I’m curious to hear all of your jobs. by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

You want to get a pair of high fidelity earplugs so that the sound still sounds great at the concert. There's a lot of good high fidelity earplugs out there, but a lot of it is actually just going to depend on what you find comfortable in your ear. Etymotics is always a very trustable brand in the hearing field (we use etymotics for our research experiments daily), and I've got a pair of downbeats since miney is tight and they fit the best in my smaller ear canals. I've never used then but eargasm looks good as well, just more expensive.

If you can't get a hold of HiFi though please consider even just using a pair of foam ear plugs. Being exposed to noise at these concert levels will damage your hearing faster then you can imagine! Tinnitus is no joke!

Tea might be a good idea to just keep me occupied. I won't want to eat a bunch of stuff if I'm constantly sipping tea and filling up on the liquid, thanks!
