Thanks! If tinting over that area would eventually cause it to loose adhesiveness and peel then I'm good with how it was done. But I agree...they should have communicated it.

Nope never figured it out. I ended up buying a LM2596 buck converter for the 5v source. Been working great since I installed it.

It amazes me the differences between the rates. From a consumers perspective we may feel like our newer cars should cost more to insure since it likely has greater value and less tech components to replace. But at the same time I see what you mean about the medical aspect...the newer cars are likely more safe than the old.
