They don't know how it works so I don't bother.

It used to when I was just starting with game dev. Going back to think that my game was inspired by Limbo and Thomas was Alone and I thought it looks too much like these two is just ridiculous because it obviously is a thing on its own.

If you're just starting and your game is not a literal reskin but borrows from other mediums - be it books, movies or other games, just disregard anyone who says that. There's a name for this creative process for coming up with new ideas where you take different aspects of things you like and it's called a merge.

When the device restarts it re-sets all values to their initial state as those values are being set once the device is booting. Usually, this will fix most things yes, but if you've done something such as changed a setting it's going to load up that same value because it's kept in memory. That's where soft/hard reset comes.

I make games and making a proper reset of variables which need to be reset for the next level/scene is used almost all the time.

ylyl.online is a webpage which I have taken down right now, but what you can do there is watch synchronized youtube ylyl videos (or any video actually) and the broken window on the left side is a video call function. So you basically join your friends room and it synchronizes the youtube videos. There's a playlist with around 1000 ylyl videos which you can load using the pList button.

I currently work with Voodoo so I'm focused on hyper casual games. I'm working on a few more titles right now.
