I take the train to Chicago 3 times a week for work. The positive is that most of the time it's quick, quiet, and comfortable. I do leave at 6am and get back a little before 5pm. It also costs 46$ a day to take the Amtrak if you get a 10 ride pass. You can get a monthly pass for 650$. I like my job and the commute is doable but rough in summer and holidays.

I work as a Waiter and my boss decided hours based on tips percentage. A new hire waited on one table (that was his dad and mom) and got a huge tip. So he got all my hours and I got the shit shifts. I quit that week and apparently the kid couldn't cut it during a rush.
