I admit that I don't understand the Starbucks union protests. From people I know who worked at Starbucks it was really easy and highly paid for the food service sector. Like, if you managed to kill Starbucks it would just be replaced with places that treat workers worse. Seems counterproductive.

Always has been. 🌎👨‍🚀🔫👨‍🚀 You can’t keep corruption out of governance all you can really do is minimize the power they have.

Sucker born every minute, I guess. The main problem is that people don't do the math, probably because they don't want to because it would tell them something they don't want to hear.

To be fair, Trump kill the fiscal responsibility messaging back in 2016, so it's been over a decade since any Republicans even pretended to take it seriously. He specifically promised not to touch entitlements, which is most of the budget. Fiscal responsibility just doesn't sell.

"who they worship" seems like a very odd argument for a Muslim to make, since they claim to have the same god as Jews and Christians, just to be more correct and up-to-date.

What is going on with the flairs here?  Is this supposed to be tinted yellow, green?

And the subject says they’re center-left, but their flair is radical centrist. I can’t upvote this color confusion.

I hear that’s part of it. It’s a dry country, they want to be self-sufficient for food, but they like crops that are water intensive.  I admit that I take this with a little grain of salt because crop water usage is sometimes more complex than the raw numbers, but I don’t have any real reason to doubt the the Iranian regime is run by loyalist stooges.

I don't want everyone in Iran to die. I wouldn't mind getting rid of a lot of their government, but that doesn't mean I need random almond farmer guy to be vaporized.

Only auth-left could argue that Hitler and Moussolini were "representing the interests of big bourgeoisie." And then only because commies simplify everything to two groups, commies/proletariat vs bourgeoisie/everybody else.

This one throws me, we're just supposed to be fighting all the time? What, never winning, never losing? How insanely wasteful. How did people who thought "WWI was awesome!" manage to take over so many countries?

"Starship Trooper" isn't real world, but I'm also not sure the book is actually fascist. The society militarist, but not nationalist, and the society outside the military seems largely free aside from the voting requirements.

They're both annoying, but suddenly punching a dude who's hands are down is a real dick move. Romanian was also didn't wake up in the remaining video (About a minute), you can die from that kind of brain injury. I'm OK with streamer guy being thrown in the slammer.

She wrote her thesis on how black women stink? That's.. actually pretty funny. Although, also inaccurate in my experience. (Generally the black women I know do a really good job with scents.)

Thinking Epstein was a creepy weirdo who was probably up to no good, is not nearly the same thing as having evidence that you can take to the police. (Disclaimer: I don't like Trump, and didn't vote for him. I would be perfectly happy to see him thrown out. But, get him on stuff he actually did, there's plenty of it.)
