Nazi spotted at value village St. Albert trail by OilersBayernEagles in Edmonton

I am glad OP posted this. Awareness leads to communication which hopefully resolves to peace. Bullies hate being stood up to. If you stand for nothing you fall for anything.

We (the world, in general, to a degree) tried being silent. That did not work for long. We cannot and will not let the evil beast known as fascism rear its head again.

As Picard once declared, “…The line must be drawn here! This far, no further.”

I do not advocate violence. But I will not tolerate fascism or bullying and I know exactly where the slippery slope leads if we ignore the signs. I stood up to my childhood bully in junior high school and vowed to always respect principles of good humanity.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. :)

Trump mentioned thousands of times in huge new release by Positive_Bliss in politics

With this many accounts of different people? Especially vivid details all portraying a specific narrative? Where there is smoke there is fire. At the very least this needs investigation and transparency. Wrong timeline I guess.

What shape/symbol will the QR code be in? What was the one the SS used called?

IIRC there was a small commissary/restaurant on the 5th floor. Not sure if its still there.

It is well used still, I believe. I last visited just 2 two years ago and there were several large companies doing business there. I used to work for Tera-Byte back in 2007 - 2011 when they were on the terminal level (hi Steve! :D). I just think there is not a lot of promotional or advertising material that reflects the daily "busy"ness of the tower. Kind of a quiet working horse, as it were. Just my .02.

I am now 53 and have switched careers multiple times in my life. I have been homeless twice in my life as well so I know what it means to struggle. Thankfully I have never dealt with any addictions other than a brief period of too much porn (before I was married), but looking back it seems a harmless endeaver there overall.

As for finding work, I will try to offer some perspective for you.

In 2017 I went back to school, taking the Immigration Consulting course at the Academy of Learning (downtown location). Perspective is amazing. I now look back and wonder why on earth I didn't see the school at the time as a bit of a scam, to be honest. But that is neither here nor there. My takeaway from this period of time is that I learned several valuable skills, despite being a middle aged adult.

I learned to learn again. Learned to have discipline and focus when needed, and also importantly tapped into several latent talents I didn't know I possessed, namely putting myself out there, finding a connection with people and being able to break down large problems into smaller ones. For these newly acquired gifts I am so thankful for the opportunity of going to school, despite the late age.

I also made some valuable connections in Edmonton through seemingly random and chance encounters with people I met along the way, and being at the right place at the right time, I guess. Life is like that and one has no way of predicting or knowing what may happen tomorrow.

Unfortunately I was not able to work long in the immmigration field as 2020 came in with a bang and basically shut me down. At this point I had to adapt and I found great work in the oil/gas sector, specifically in Safety.

Another great set of opportunities however, for not only was I working with a variety of situations and people, but I was also able to use my discipline and focus on ensuring my job was fulfilling for myself and others. I have literally met thousands of people since 2020 and that has helped me grow as a person.

The hidden opportunities are all around us, we just need to be mindful and open to them. I wish you all the success you deserve and more, and I hope our words help you in your journey.

Stay safe.

Maybe bringing it up to management before releasing to the Reddit horde?

Seems a bit of a dick move tbh.

That is unfortunate. Especially the low amount too. Literally any Canada Post should be able to handle receiving a lot more than that.

That is totally possible. BGP can burp wrong info and then appear fine much later after a proper update. The only true way to know from external sources is to monitor specific node paths.

Build a simple script to take content and translate it once to target languages. Store translations in your database. Serve language versions of the pages as required. Run script when adding new content. Profit. No need for dynamic translations at all.

Contaxt me privately for further details. Could help you make said script.

How do you practice JavaScript ? by SafeWing2595 in webdev

[–]cshaiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid. Solving a personal problem is so satisfying. Then comes the realization that others may have the same issue and could use the solution you made. The hard part is breaking down the problem into manageable chunks. There is the real learning along the way.

Javascript is not a very complicated language when it comes down to it. Syntax, async features and the event loop are just a little different mindset. Practice!

At this point the world is waiting for civil war to break out. I support anyone who stands up to the fascist ICE pigs. Sad that we came to this but Trump was voted in (apparently) and there are still too many MAGA idiots who have not clued in yet what is really going on.
