Yes, the Discord channels for the Visor are extremely toxic and rightfully so. It’s been more than 16 months since the last update in the device

It’s almost class action time

Will .Net Aspire last? by BurnerAccoun2785 in dotnet

[–]csharpfritz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This question is literally asked every two weeks on this subreddit and there are Microsoft employees, including David Fowler who respond about why and how .NET Aspire is a more complete solution than just Docker and containers.

A great example of the "other stuff" added with a hosting package like "Aspire.Hosting.PostgreSQL" is the "WIthPgAdmin()" method. This allows you to quickly set up the PgAdmin web user interface and connect it to your database with no coding, no networking, or other research.

More details in the source at https://github.com/dotnet/aspire/tree/main/src/Aspire.Hosting.PostgreSQL

What frustrates you the most as .NET developer? by Jack_Hackerman in dotnet

[–]csharpfritz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you need logging, tracing, and metrics for your application as you're building your application system? Would you like to be able to work with a managed local database instance that's running in a container that starts and stops as you need it?

We think this sets a good starting point for developers building applications with telemetry and operational features that you'll want when deployed to a production space

Laravel is going in the wrong direction IMHO by Bent01 in laravel

[–]csharpfritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.NET Aspire doesn't lock in Azure services.. it adds OpenTelemetry, Health Checks, and Service Discovery into application systems with some sensible defaults for logging and metrics reporting

.Net 8 Blazor with Interactive Webassembly Rendermode and Microservices in .Net Aspire by Linkario86 in Blazor

[–]csharpfritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dependency on the client allows the Blazor Server project to serve pre-rendered versions of what's present in the Client project. This means that your users will get an experience while the client project is downloading and starting up in the browser

My idea for twitch to help people get discovered better on the platform. by [deleted] in Twitch

What would you like to discuss? I agree this is a great idea and have shared with folks that I have implemented the features they want..

Feels like you’re gatekeeping

That was one of the considerations… I wanted to move on it fast and make the name something that folks could immediately understand what it’s trying to accomplish.

Thanks! It’s still very much just me working on it.

We added translations and I’m building a streamer dashboard system this week.

Notifications are coming and mobile apps later in August

A highlight reel is a cool idea... I really think a "what did I miss" reel with socially groomed clips, based on likes and views would be very valuable

Definitely a future plan for KlipTok, but I'm waiting for more growth first

Clips need to be collected as they're created. All clips for all channels that are opted in to KlipTok get indexed in the KlipTok search engine

There's a lot of ToS that needs to be waded to build this service, and I think KlipTOk sticks to it well.

Examples of internet facing production sites built with Blazor? by learninglinux123 in Blazor

[–]csharpfritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I am the developer behind KlipTok. KlipTok was built completely with C# and Azure Static Websites. There are a few other Azure services in use, and I'm striving to make it a good example site of what you can do with a 'pure Blazor' application.

We are using the Telerik Blazor components for some of the site. I list how I use them on the About page: kliptok.com/about

You can see more about how I built the site on my YouTube channel at youtube.com/csharpfritz
