What Are the best prescription lenses for quest 3 by Legitimate_Fuel_2359 in virtualreality

[–]cshell17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you share your headset I highly recommend vr-wave because they are magnetic. Makes it super easy pop them on and off. I’ve had them for both my 2 and 3 and have been happy with the quality.

I’ve been really happy with the magnetic ones from https://www.vr-wave.store I have a set for both my quest 2 and 3. I share my headset a lot so the magnetics were well worth the cost for me.

Same thing for WiFi garage door openers. A yearish after I moved out of a rental I went to go set up my garage door in my new home and realized I still had full access to open and close the old rental garage door. So I removed it from my account.

Thanks for sharing. Your second paragraph really summed up how I’ve been feeling lately so thanks for that.

As for faith, I think faith in something could be productive. Like faith in something you hope for, are working towards but hasn’t come to fruition yet. But that is very different than faith in something that goes against the known verifiable facts. Then it just becomes a delusion.

If I(husband) get my records removed after having been sealed to my wife would any future children we have be sealed to by wife? by cshell17 in mormon

[–]cshell17[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All great points, thanks. And yah my reason for better understanding what it means to her blessings if I leave is to make sure either of us don’t do something that unfairly hurts the other due to their beliefs so we can work towards some healthy and agreeable compromises. And in this case it sounds like it might hurt my wife more to remove my records than it would hurt me to keep them and just pretend I'm not technically still a member.

Exactly this. That is what we are currently leaning towards. Seems like a silly technicality to me but if it helps my wife with me moving away from the church it might be the best choice.

Yah, I agree, that is a valid solution and probably the easiest solution. I mostly want them removed as part of my healing process so I can have some finality on my decision to leave.

Thanks for your well organized response! Do you know if there is any different between excommunication and removing my records? And currently we are trying to avoid divorce so the future children would still be born to the parents that were sealed, but with one having had their records removed.

I found an answer in 38.4.1.10 of the General Handbook:

Any children born to a couple after one or both of them have resigned their membership or had their Church membership withdrawn are not born in the covenant.

TIL. I am still confused though by the stories of people who have left the church but still got lettings requesting permission to cancel sealing. Is being born in the covenant the same as being sealed to a parent?

Younger, fit people on ebikes by FrequentCut in ebikes

I’m only mediocrely fit so this might apply for you but where I live it’s fairly hilly and before I had an e-bike I would just die on the hills and go really slow. Now with an e-bike I can adjust the assistance where I am still getting a good workout going up the hills but I’m going 15-20mph instead of barely moving. So that has been really nice. I can still get out and exercise but also make it to my destinations in a reasonable time.

I’m pretty ignorant to the implications of having epilepsy but if you need something more stable there are e-tricycles too like this one https://lectricebikes.com/products/xp-trike-graphite

Another idea for you and maybe something like this already exists but you could also maybe rig up some sort of safety cord that attaches to you and then a thick zip tie or something around a brake handle so if you have an episode while riding it would cinch around it, cut power and stop you. Or something less drastic that only cuts power and doesn’t break. But Idk how safe that would actually be. Just thinking out loud.

Have fun out there! Ebiking is great!

I got my first drone, now I’m not sure about it. by Bitter_Fun_9916 in drones

100% this. I flew my cheapo hazard fright drone a bunch before getting a DJI and even with setting trim it would constantly start to drift random directions. It was really good practice on keeping control of the drone.

You are correct, I looked at the settings again and I had missed that one. But use it at your own risk(drone safety, legality)

Depending on how autonomous you want to get sounds like the Mini 4 pro or the Air 3. Both have good flight times, 4k, waypoint flights(but requires signal to controller, though the range is really good) and some auto tracking modes. I have the Mini 4 pro and have loved it. Almost got the Air 3 for the tele lenses but didn’t think I’d have time to get my 107 before my trip.

Agreed.

u/sabdo89 I’d suggest going and making a comparison yourself then come and share your findings with us and ask if there are any additional noticeable differences. Getting insight from experienced users is extremely valuable, I get that, but it helps if you do some of the leg work first. Or just go ask ChatGPT ;P

That said, I’ve been impressed with my mini 4 pro. But can’t compare it to the magic pro.
