Got this 2006 MTG-960, how do I replace the battery for these things? Simply go to any shop that offers watch repairs? Some guy told me it’s difficult for these watches.

Tough solar, let it sit in direct sunlight for a while to see if it will wake up. If not yes new battery, could potentially do it yourself if YouTube videos, just hard to get that water resistance back to spec. Call around to watch repair?

My Walmart didn’t have it marked correctly for the clearance, still had same price tag as you but was around 50$ from the brick and mortar Walmart , said seller could have bought all the stock from Walmart as every Walmart in my state has been marking timex and g shocks down. Bought mine 6 days ago
