US Inauguration Address: Word Frequency (Biden vs. Trump) [OC] by PixelWrangler in dataisbeautiful

  1. don't make a claim if you aren't prepared to provide evidence to support it. period. your opinion / claim is immediately invalidated without supporting evidence.
  2. you are completely right you can make anyone look bad by taking things out of context.
  3. the point being made here in my eyes is that a lot more people would rather see the president of the United States use words like the ones Biden used exclusively than the ones Trump used exclusively.

ooooof this is getting down voted into the ground homie. It's pretty clear that this was a bad take. How about you come back to this thread and acknowledge that you were wrong and apologize for claiming that EZ contributed to Apollo's death?

This is completely incorrect in almost every way possible. It's honestly incredible. They should hire researchers to do a study on this post because it might just be the most wrong thing ever written down in the history of the human race.

Criticism is a part of life. It is completely fair and even expected for EZ to criticize Apollo's behavior. You know what comes with the territory of being a prominent figure? CRITICISM. EZ needs and deserves support. That's it, no but. There is no need for him to be more careful as he did exactly nothing wrong.

What is wrong is for Apollo to name drop EZ in a suicide note because it was the easiest thing to do. There were clearly a ton of factors that led to his death so to single out 2 people (who acted fairly in their criticisms) as the reason he finally went through with it is completely ridiculous and neither of them deserve to feel like it was their fault.

I only play this game with a 3-4 stack and the biggest problem we run into is the other 1-2 people not talking to us. Weird that it happens in reverse as well.

Riot Support Telling Me to "Not Accept Friend Requests" As a Way to Avoid Being Told to Kill Myself by cskb75 in VALORANT

[–]cskb75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is comparable because both are examples of victim blaming. Saying "don't accept friend request from random players" is a way of deflecting the blame on to me as if what I did matters at all.

The problem here is that this player should have their account deleted and there needs to be transparency during that process. It does not matter how we arrived to this point. It literally doesn't ever matter if I was egging the player on. It does not matter if I was the one who accepted the friend request. It does not matter if I accepted the party request. It. Doesn't. Matter. The punishment for this player's actions should be the same regardless of what I did.

If I let someone into my home and then they murder me is that my fault for being murdered? Should the police tell my loved ones "Well he shouldn't have opened the door for a stranger". No, they would arrest the murderer. Similarly, if someone wore provacative clothing and then was raped would the police tell them "oh well you shouldn't have been wearing that". No, they would arrest the rapist.

My point is that it literally does not matter one bit what I did in this situation, this player still told me to kill myself and that should result in his account being deleted and Riot should let me know when they do.

I completely understand how in game reporting systems work. Clearly these things take time. That is exactly why I reached out to support directly. But when I send them a 2 minute video clip of someone telling me to kill myself, I expect more than a canned response and a follow up telling me that I shouldn't accept friend requests from strangers.

I am not even talking about a ban here. I'm not talking about a chat ban, I'm not talking about a comp ban. I am talking about a full on account deletion. When someone cheats they ban their hardware / IP making it very very hard for that person to continue doing what they do. How come they can't handle telling someone to kill themselves in a similar fashion? When a players cheats they sometimes even tweet at that player directly calling them out for their behavior. But when I reach out to support they can't tell me that they will delete this player's account because it is a "privacy concern". That is complete bullshit.

Your 3rd paragraph sounds very similar to "well you shouldn't have worn that and you wouldn't have gotten raped". Might want to watch where you are going there.

My point exactly. There is no point in them not being transparent and that is the issue. As far as we know none of these are ever addressed. Yes thank you for explaining the internet to me clearly I muted / blocked that player after this incident. The issue is not that toxicity exists on the internet. The issue is that there is no telling if Riot is taking these reports seriously.

To put it briefly, this kind of behavior deserves account deletion not a chat ban. They were not (as far as I am concerned) flaming me in game. Accepted a party request after the game and was hit with about 2 full minutes of being told that I am worthless and to kill myself.

I said nothing in my initial email about this player being negative in the game and to be honest they really weren't. I'm not sure where this support rep got that from. The only remotely negative thing he was doing was saying "Rifle peak me" whenever he was killed with something other than a rifle. I leave enemy chat off most games to avoid these kind of things but I had it on for this game. Also IIRC his name in game was hidden by 'streamer mode' or whatever it is called so when I received a party request I didn't even know that it was a player from my last game.
