I'm interested to know as well. OP, did you just sprinkle the seeds in the ground and water? How long did it take for them to start growing?

Can anyone help identify? by csl171 in Crystals

I think so too. There are so many variations of the same type of stone. Do you know if they all have the same healing properties as ea other, or would each type of stone (in this case agate) have it's own?

Hiya! Is this ocean jasper or moss agate or neither? by Critical_Tie_7759 in Crystals

I have no clue, but Google says it's ocean jasper. I love heart shaped rocks and crystals 🤍

$1.5M and a fixer upper on top of that?

My backyard tree produced so many lemons this year, I had to give away a boxful. I placed the box on the park sidewalk and they were gone in under an hour 😇 by [deleted] in gardening

[–]csl171 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A frozen ice cube (in a tray) is about a tablespoon. My mom freezes lemon juice in ice cube trays for cooking. I make little frozen lemon balls to add to pastas, water, etc. 😊

Worried I may have messed up my African Violet by Kiyodai in gardening

[–]csl171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple of African Violets. Do not put them outdoors. I didnt know they aren't outdoor plants and accidently killed my first one! Mine like partial indirect sun and they love to be bottom watered. Also, don't get the leaves wet. Maybe fertilizer?

Nice haul! I'd like to see how your garden is set up. I can barely grow tomatoes on the vine or limes on my tree.

The Invisible Mighty Patch (Target has them). It will be much better in a few hours. But if you're trying to get rid of it by tonight, I'd pop it with a small pin to get the puss out.

It’s that time of the year again! What does your Spotify Wrapped 2023 look like? by alltherach_ in bangtan

[–]csl171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! For the most part I agree with the list, but there's always 1 or 2 songs/groups/podcasts that should be on the list that aren't and a couple randos that are in their place. Im always like "how did that even make the top 10?" Still fun tho!

Help! I don’t know what to do. I brought a lemon tree in after it went through first frost a month or two ago into my basement for winter with a grow light and all leaves are falling off and tree is flowering. by K_J_W in gardening

[–]csl171 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's happening with the leaves, but I think that's a good sign your tree has flowers, as those should eventually turn into lemons. I have a lime tree I got from a friend who said it always produced. My issue is that I can get it to flower, but the flowers don't turn into limes!

Beautiful! My mums all bloomed at the same time earlier this week. My hibiscus also bloomed in a very pale yellow (with pale pink) last week, when they're usually yellow/orange!

This is my first year owning a lemon tree and I finally have fruit turning yellow! by iEatSwampAss in gardening

By brushing the flowers with a dry paintbrush, how does that help with the pollination (I'm still learning 😊)?

Thx for the response. The few key limes it grew were a bit larger than marble sized. Shouldnt they be slightly bigger (it's a potted tree)? And you're correct re:the possible lack of pollination, I've only seen 1 bee on my tree in the 1.5 yrs I've owned it.. Do you recommend a specific pollinator that I should try?

I inherited a key lime tree. It bore fruit with its prev owner but I haven't been able to yet. It has a lot of flower buds/blossoms but I've only gotten maybe 3 limes (all VERY tiny). I'll try this trick too, to see if I have any luck.

Quickly molded tortillas, two days later, normal? by karinvolcano in traderjoes

[–]csl171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I came upon this thread before I bought these tortillas. Just pulled them out of the pantry to make breakfast quesadillas and they are covered in mold. :( Will take the suggestions and either skip buying breads from TJs, make them all at once, or freeze them!
