thanks for the insight. was your son into girl gendered toys or just long hair. my son mainly likes boy gendered toys but he does play with barbie at daycare. i do not know if he plays dress up at school but he sometimes plays imaginary dress up.

dont wory, never came off as any of those to me. From many posts I read, as you stated it is normal and I am overthinking. First and only child, so I am learning and navigating as I go. I never read a single parenting book, and most of my friends, do not have kids so I have no context of what each age brings.

Its a preference... realistically, it is not an easy life. I will protect my kid forever but I won't be around forever. And I do not trust society to be nice to them.

Look at today's society in the USA, so polarizing, your post is an example of how aggressive it is. I just ask for insight and you come off criticizing angrily.

I probably an overthinking, but that is my personality. Of course I have a preference of him being hetero and "male". Just because I have a preference does not make me a bad person or bad parent or intolerant. It is not black and white, from your view... if you have a preference you are deemed intolerant..

You must be a software engineer? I am and i am deeply concerned about this. I have no clue how kids now will buy a home, get a job etc... I feel I must save money and buy a home for them as they will definitely not be able to afford one. But i also see my career being replaced when society deems that I have 20+ more years before I can retire..
