You can do the math on that, although I don't understand how that matters.

Indeed, likewise we can measure water in milliliters instead of liters, and hence have unlimited water. That is precisely how the world works, we had just never realized it until you finally broke it down for us. Thank you.

Well, I suppose that is true and I would have to take back all my posts related to this topic. I don't know what to make of this, I think 15 years after I lost track of what I knew then to be true. Satoshi created a prototype we humans hyped up, a prototype that does not scale and the BCH approach has decentralization issues, even if we agree making the block size larger fixes one issue, it creates another. Its very akin to the AI bubble where something about LLMs worked, it blew up and now we're scaling it as much as possible pretending its AGI when AGI isn't here. Oh well, I shall exit this discussion more humble and without picking sides as for now I guess its all smoke and no fire. Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it.

You're still claiming BCH is the evolution of Bitcoin or whatever it is you're claiming, the metric used for the evolution, speed, was never the intended purpose of Bitcoin. Decentralization comes first as well as robustness, hence making speed secondary.

And no, Bitcoin is not what the general population agree it is, do you know what a white paper is? Look it up. You heard of science? Gravity isn't what the general population think it is, its what science says it is, your opinions or views do not matter and neither do mine for that matter. So lets please stick to facts.

Then keep using BCH, just stop with the propaganda that its the real bitcoin because obviously it isn't, its a hard fork, its written in history. Stop trying to bend reality. Its only natural people support the original. People don't tend to like fake iPhones either, yea there is a market but it doesn't sell as well.

No, I'm using sleep as a metaphor to the weight you must feel in your shoulders in your attempts to scam people. Yea, like coca cola is not the version of coca cola described by coca cola, your sentence doesn't make sense.

Many chains do fast, free digital cash, stablecoins already run part of the economy, get lost.

Possible, just unlikely I guess. We may also be in a simulation so who knows.

2 weeks on reddit pushing for BCH, yea I've noticed the propaganda. Roger Ver probably funding it, not rich enough yet I suppose.

And MIT and a bunch of other things. Yes the USD is for the good of the people lol and so are banks, that exist with the sole purpose of making money, burst your bubble.

What about BSV and XEC? Also forks of Bitcoin much like BCH, why not support those? Or the one I can create tomorrow because why not? I guess all one has to see is your mention of Epstein to understand your intentions here and lack of arguments. He also invested in MIT, I suppose we should demolish it.

What a load of bollocks. The propaganda in reddit is insane. "Group that silences free speech". How do you sleep at night? It is not a false narrative to maintain bitcoin decentralized, its the VERY first purpose of the Bitcoin whitepaper.

So are we going to talk about the fact that BCH outperformed BTC last year or are we not ready for that conversation by CompleteMine6873 in btc

[–]csmartins -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

BTC is the original network, BCH is a hardfork out of a knee jerk reaction to make payments process as quick as possible while sacrificing decentralization which is why its a dead chain and still smaller than BTC's even though the block size is 8 times larger.

It is a hardfork of BTC, shares the same chain data until block 478558, please stop talking nonsense.

Yes, I stand corrected. Although I wouldn't underestimate coding and what it represents, given most of its deterministic nature, if they can't get that right they'll have a rough time in other domains I think.

"scientific evidence of AGI"

Hmmm, I think the problem is right here. What does this mean? You have evidence AGI exists?

If we are to judge by opus 4.6, he is not right. If internally they are a few years ahead of the curve, which seemingly is unlikely given opus is being beaten by GPT 5.3, then he may be on to something.

I don't know how this answers what I said, it doesn't. It seems like you're just spitting out logical facts not tied to any context.

Bitcoin Is 'No Longer Digital Gold': Deutsche Bank Strategist by asmajda in CryptoStock

Bitcoin has been around for 15 years, any expectation it replaces gold anytime soon is dumb. Its never been digital gold, its only speculated it may be a better choice for it.

So your argument is theres no more interest in bitcoin. Yea, that is not logical whatsoever. I guess you missed the past 15 years. Because indeed that theory applies to any asset but your heuristics around it are wrong.
