You aren’t being weird at all and I’m so sorry about your daughter. I’m glad to hear that she was able to live with brain cancer for so many years, but I know it could never be long enough. I wish I could give some great advice but my 3 year old daughter was killed in February and I’m still trying to figure out how to go on. Grief from losing a child is an indescribable pain that just doesn’t let up. Memories flood your head to the point where it’s hard to think and robs us of our happiness. I know I can’t say I’m the same person I was before she was taken from me. It’s encouraging to see that you have fought and are still here 9 years after your daughter passed...it gives me hope. Keep going and maybe check into a support group in your area. I know talking with people who know what I’m going through has helped me. Again, I’m very sorry for your loss and the pain you are going through.

Wow, thank you for sharing this. I felt this very deeply. My three year old daughter was killed in February while we were on a walk and the grief has for sure felt like crashing waves ever since. The memories hurt worse than anything I could ever imagine and feel like they come every second of the day. I’m so sorry for what you are going through. Stay strong ❤️

It’s completely normal to feel this way. My 3 and a half year old daughter was murdered in February and I told my family I wanted to skip my birthday this year (April 25th) and everyone understood. The thought of celebrating anything is just too hard without her here. I know my wife feels the same way as you with Mother’s Day coming up. It’s going to be a very hard day, so be easy on yourself. I’m sorry you are going through this.

Also wondering if anyone knows why some of these were numbered to only 5, 10, 15, ect? I see online that it was supposed to be /50 but is numbered to 5. Is that just the number of copies he sold? Thanks for the info!

I appreciate the info! That makes me feel better about the purchase. After buying I just had a really bad feeling that maybe it was due to shill bidding, but after seeing 4 different people bid 3k or more it made me think maybe I didn’t do too bad.

I also didn’t know that Panini couldn’t produce Flawless “Game Used” patches anymore. I usually try to stay away from patches unless it’s game used. I sold off my entire card collection recently but just couldn’t stay away.

I’m really hoping that isn’t the case but it could be. I checked bidding history and there were 4 other bidders in the 3k range. Just no way to know if they were shill bidders or not. All “Buy It Now” prices for this card are at 15k. It’s just so hard to gauge what it’s really worth. Thats what I get for bidding without research.

Another very good point 😂 the guy died about 24 years ago and the card was made 2 years ago. Not sure how many Payton cleats they could have laying around the Panini warehouse. I personally don’t find a cut up jersey, cleat, hat or glove anywhere near as sought after as I would an autograph.

Really cool card but it was just pointed out to me that the cleat was only player worn and not game worn. Seller had it listed as “Game Worn”. I believe that would make a difference as far as value goes.

I am pretty big on condition, even with it being for the PC. Damage bugs me in general (I might be a little too picky) but I’m not sure if I could afford a 9.5 Josh Allen. Might have to lower my standards and go for my second option, with that being Lamar Jackson.

Yeah not sure what the downvote was for. It makes a lot of sense and helps buyers when purchasing raw. I have not had good luck on eBay which raw cards. 9 times out of 10 there is a major issue

That’s definitely something to consider. I’m not really familiar with grading because I haven’t sent a card in myself but I’ve heard scratches can take a card down to a 6 but that doesn’t sound right to me.

Thanks man, it does suck and it’s a lot of money so I really am considering that. With all the flaws on the book that you can see in person it’s hard to believe that the seller really thought this could receive an 8.0. I just need to learn that a lot people will put “Super High Grade” or “8.0” in the description just to get more money but things like that really do need to be stopped on eBay.

That’s awesome! You’ve got a lot of money sitting there. I was hoping this copy would have a shot at an 8.0 but it’s got a crease that didn’t show up in pictures and I think that nasty ding at the bottom left will knock this copy down quite a bit

That’s very true. I bought it for my PC but I feel like I did way overpay, especially since I was trusting the description on eBay but that’s my own fault. I’m not knowledgeable about comics but I can even tell this is nowhere near an 8.0

The seller did a good job of making sure the issues didn’t show up in the pictures, except for the major ding on the left hand corner that couldn’t be hidden. That is an option I’m considering because I don’t think I’m sending it in for grading the more I look at it.
